  1. Oh my gosh those Hurricanes jerseys are awful
  2. Though we shouldn't, unless it adequately fixes a forward issue.
  3. I've put every Sabres game on my whiteboard calendar since I came to Oklahoma and every game gets an @. XXX @ YYY. So BUF hops from left to right depending on if it's away or home. It makes the most sense to me
  4. I definitely agree that their offense is surprisingly good. I also dream about Botterill being able to convince MTL to give up 3OA for Brady in a ROR(+) trade like he wanted to. But their combo of offense, defense and goaltending is pretty bad And their power play is operating at a blazing 4/62, or 6.45%
  5. So I just looked up our recent games with Carolina. It seemed like we hadn't beaten them in a while. We've been swept by them every year since 2015-16. Since I first mentioned them in the Bylsma "system" argument early in 16-17, we have faced them 9 times and lost all 9 ?
  6. But even without Mojo, we're better than Ottawa and probably tied with Chicago.
  7. Carolina has our number badly over the last few years, but Chicago and Ottawa could each be relatively easy wins even without a full strength lineup. They're bad teams The Sabres beat a full strength Pittsburgh team during one of their cup seasons with both Eichel AND O'Reilly injured a few falls ago. We don't like Evan at 2C for good reason - I'm pretty sure he was literally the 1C in that game. It happens
  8. Colin Miller is the best defenseman we have healthy-scratched in many years. I think he's been better than McCabe (not going to sit because of his A) and Dahlin (hard to see him sitting) both recently and overall, even if his play has tailed off a bit.
  9. Textbook use of an extremely mainstream meme. Its meaning has been molded by its use in the internet community as a whole and is well understood, even if you can't give it a nice definition that would fit into a dictionary and satisfy those represented by the "old man yells at cloud" Abe Simpson It's pretty funny too. Often, the cat is used to represent behaviors/opinions that are uncouth and would be treated as such by all publicly, but by none privately. But not always, like in this case
  10. When I look at how ungodly terrible that forward group looks when it's missing just one player, a player that's probably only the 4th best forward, and the list of defensemen who have to SIT when we take only six of them... What the actual ***** are you doing Jason make a trade for the love of god
  11. Lmao holy crap why are we so close to the cap with this product
  12. It'd be pretty easy to not give up much of substance for Toffoli, I'm not worried Do you legit have a source?
  13. Can't wait for Jerry Jeudy to fall to 32nd so the Bills can pick him
  14. I'm placing you under arrest
  15. You shoulda seen me last week. I was miserable that we were facing Haskins rather than Keenum. Keenum was known mediocrity, with film on him. Haskins looked bad early, but QBs like Kyle Allen and Denver's QB and Minshew had success before the film got to them! Of course, had they chosen Keenum, I would have been equally petrified - Keenum is smart if not particularly talented, and would be capable of picking us apart like Fitz did! Give me the rookie with 4 picks in 22 attempts! I need us to get to 9-2 so I can basically just watch for fun and assume we'd win one of the last five to clinch, rather than stressing endlessly over things that don't deserve the stress
  16. I think I'm just terrified for every NFL game due to their oversized importance compared to the NHL games I'm more familiar watching, and the nature of NFL football is such that any team can beat anyone else, and usually has at least one major advantage even if they're a worse team overall
  17. I like it a lot better than what we have now...but yeah it's not a great roster either, so welcome to why I am the most exasperated poster on the internet from May to September while everyone who forgot what today feels like because it's sunny and nice out wonders "wtf is wrong with this guy"
  18. Alabama is going to win this game. And you deserve it for slandering the Yankees
  19. Their main offensive issue (a bad offensive line) is the one thing our defense hasn't been able to take advantage of (they were manhandled against a Dolphins line that I was reading was one of the most poorly put together OLs in NFL history before that game), and they have Kareem freaking Hunt backing up a guy who has the ability to run for 160+ yards against far better run defenses than ours. The things that they have that could click are precisely matched up in a way that could pick us apart even if we don't have a bad day Garrett against our right tackle situation is the kind of thing that can give us Allen from the Jets game versus Allen from the last four, in addition to the fact that their one good DB is definitely capable of neutralizing our one good WR I think we're lucky that Kitchens and Pederson are about as far apart as you can get in coaching quality, so hopefully they won't be able to take advantage of this the way Philly did, but the "roster strengths versus roster weaknesses" seem to uniformly line up in the Browns' favor in a way that's pretty rare
  20. Risto, Mittelstadt for Rakell Rodrigues and a 3rd for Toffoli Skinner - Eichel - Toffoli/Vesey Olofsson - Rakell - Reinhart Sheary - Johansson - Vesey/Toffoli Girgensons - Larsson - Okposo Dahlin - Montour Scandella - Jokiharju McCabe - Miller Bogo, Pilut, Borgen
  21. Toffoli shouldn't cost much. I'd prefer that to be our "bottom six" forward acquisition though.
  22. interesting that he says "forward" and not "forwards." So something like Risto+ for a good guy, rather than Risto for two mediocre Jets?
  23. Terrified of this game. The Seahawks barely beat the Browns, who have the talent to blow out the Ravens. They ran all over the Pats defense and only lost because they beat themselves in a way that I'd be skeptical of them replicating tomorrow. Garrett against Ford/Nsekhe is going to be a disaster, and Chubb versus our interior run defense gives me nightmares. At the same time, they have enough coaching, penalty, and offensive line issues that we certainly have a path to victory. They are 2-6, after all. It would be such a huge win. Let's go Bills.
