  1. This was without an extension. Essentially giving up 13OA for one year of a Vezina Finalist makes a lot of sense. This gives Levi the chance to have his number of starts set and gives Hellebuyck a chance to reduce His regular season, starts and rest up for the playoffs. As @dudacekpreviously mentioned, Hellebuyck might not be the best candidate for the Sabres based on the style that they play so this does have to be taken into consideration. In terms of New Jersey, yes, they are a contender. I would also add the LA Kings as well as the Detroit Red Wings into this mix as well. Neither New Jersey or LA have their first round pick this year, but have multiple assets in terms of prospects that can be traded. LA and Detroit would be in best position to sign him long-term.
  2. Chad DeDomincis released a Mock Offseason this AM. Said the price for Hellebuyck isn’t astronomical. A first, rostered player and B Prospect. He had the Sabres trading 13th OA, UPL and Kisakov for Him. Also this trade Buffalo Sabres acquire Matt Grzelcyk in exchange for Jacob Bryson and the Sabres’ 2024 second-round pick Does not have Jost or Zemgus returning. Mentioned VO isn’t generating much trade interest around the league
  3. Chad DeDomincis released a Mock Offseason this AM. Said Moore and Simashev are names he has heard for 13th. Also they have interest in Michkov should he start to slide. Moving up for Him is something they would consider
  4. John Hynes fired in Nashville as HC Andrew Brunette expected to be named HC of the Preds
  5. Suzie Kewl’s First Love was always Baseball. She is now the multi media journalist for the Lehigh Iron Pigs the AAA Team for the Phillies.
  6. Friedman mentioned it a few weeks ago on the 32 Thoughts Pod. The NHLPA has agreed to discuss it
  7. Here is the picture
  8. I doubt he gets by Washington, but I would love it
  9. Yes because not qualifying for the NCAA tournament in the first place and missing the playoffs by a single win is the same as losing the National Championship in OT.
  10. Exactly, He played four seasons for the Gophers, lost in heartbreaking fashion and probably needed to step back and recharge for a while. Now he gets a few practices in with the Amerks, gets to meet the coaching staff and it in on meetings for a week or longer.
  11. It could be as simple as in deciding that he wanted to enjoy his last few college experiences, graduation and attending college parties. I do believe that Linus Weissbach did the same thing after his senior season at Wisconsin. As there a pictures of him in Madison Wisconsin, enjoying his last few weeks of college life. Granted Johnson is a first round, pick compared to Weissbach who was a seventh rounder. Weissbach did sign on April 6, 2021 on the Amerks still did have games left however, he did not report to the Amerks until the next season
  12. Appert mentioned that Savoie will be on another line tonight
  13. Johnson will be 22 when the 2023-24 Season starts, he can only sign a 2 year ELC at that point
  14. Per Lance Lysowski the contract starts next season as he probably doesn’t make the lineup this year for the Amerks
  15. After the NHL Regular Season ended he could no longer sign a 3 year ELC.
