Per Friedman the NHL last plan is to speak with the Phoenix Sun’s New Owner Mats Ishbia to see if a deal can be struck for the Coyotes to play there. It sounds like the NHL would pay for renovations to the arena. To maintain the conference balance Houston, KC or SLC probably gets them -

Getting Joseph Woll back would definitely be a boon for the Marlies.

An explanation of the Gold Plan https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2059085 Other options are to average the season point totals over 2-3 years for non playoff teams and base the final draft order on the team with the least amount of points picking first. The final option would be a tournament of non playoff teams where the teams that finish 32-26 play for the Top 8 Picks and 25-17 play for picks 9-16. This would give non playoff teams extra games for additional revenue with the extra games, make each series the best of three with the higher seed getting games one and two at home and the lower seed getting game three. Yes I realize there is no way in hell the NHL does any of this.

See the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1983-84.

The Sabres Should Be Drafting A Defenseman! (Defensemen)
Brawndo replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Quite a few people I trust to make the determination have complemented his skating, including Baker, Yerdon and Lysowski. If he turns out to be shutdown defenseman with limited offensive ability, that’s Ok. Luke Schenn, who quite a bit of the board was clamoring for at the TDL has a regular season career high of 22 points. If Novikov allows Power to active offensively without having to worry about covering for His D Partner, that’s a win for the D Corps. -

Agree that the pipeline needs more defense and goalie prospects. However I do believe that Novikov would possibly make a very good partner for Power on the second pairing in a few seasons. -
