  1. I don't mind Bylsma sending Moulson-Eichel-Gionta over the boards together situationally, but I don't like the idea of that as a regular line. So I guess I'd like to see teams try to match the speed of Kane-Eich-Ennis together.
  2. expecting something?
  3. Kane looks healthy. He's throwing the body around, skates like the wind, and has a nose for the net. A+ so far. Bogo is bollixed. he's week to week.
  4. The only thing I don't like about that is that it leaves Eichel with little protection on his wings. Eichel is going to get run. I'd like him to have a little more back-up than Moulson and Gionta.
  5. Yeah. That's the one. He was like an evil Bob Backlund.
  6. Kassian bloodied up in car wreck this morning. http://www.tsn.ca/habs-kassian-involved-in-traffic-accident-1.371412 https://twitter.com/stevenp57/status/650629349926924289/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
  7. That's a hold-over from Irv Wienstein days. Canadians have often asked me what the hell a Four Alarm Blaze in Cheektowaga means. They loved Irv so much he got spoofed on SCTV in Earl Cammenbert.
  8. Wasn't that a pro wrestler in the 80's?
  9. Yes, the guy behind the counter at the sock store. Most like likely speaking French. Twirling his mustache for the women.
  10. Pysik had some really beautiful up-ice passes last night. Teppo like.
  11. There were no regular pairs on defense with any familiarity. And that showed - but it is a little distressing that it showed so much against the Bluejacket B team, But weak pairings are hard to hide at any level. They will get better.
  12. I really think we are getting into a very slippery slope if we say people should have an unabridged right to bear arms -less they fail a government standard for mental health. Letting the government track and determine who gets a clean bill of mental health would be a national nightmare - and a disaster for civil liberties.
  13. I'm by no means for banning guns, but I am alarmed by the tact of Texas, when they passed the campus-carry bill this summer. Allowing students to keep and conceal firearms in classrooms and dorms at age 21.
  14. I thought I saw a Ret. Lt Col on CNN telling the world that gun-free zones and the inability of most people in Oregon to get a concealed carry needs to be looked at because the only way to stop a crazed gunman is with another gun. Isn't this the stance of the NRA? Sure I was being pithy, but the NRA will be quiet for a week, and go back to lobbying for broader and easier access to guns. It's no small thing. Heck Christie in New Jersey started pardoning gun law violators this week, just to show he's Bona-fide.
  15. Apparently the cure for crazy people with guns is to allow easier and broader access for people to get guns to stop them, which put guns in the hands of more crazy people, which again demands broader and easier access to guns. Good job 'Merica.
  16. Yep. And Lehner needs time to play himself into shape. But more than him, the D looked terrible. New pairings, bad passes, lots of breakdowns in the zone. There will be some rough stretches this year. But the forwards have the potential to be explosive.
  17. doesn't Eich look like that kid on Family Affair (dating myself here)
  18. Haven't you heard? He's the love Child of Gretzky and Lemieux, and Gordie is a grandparent.
  19. These really are exhibitions...the talent you see is real, but without any line matching, it really isn't representative of the hockey we'll see next week.
  20. I really think the game as it is played today is better suited to Eichel, who has more body strength, perhaps a heavier shot, and the ability to play inside. But if this were 1992, I think McDavid would be the easy answer.
  21. We, who hold our Sabres dear, should never stand for this. (or sit, I'm really not sure).
  22. Well he did play with Puppa.
