  1. I disagree. I think Kane is worth more. His best years to come IMO.
  2. Canes have a seriously flawed defense if you asked me. Even with 2 Staal's they aren't going far with that D, IMO. Pitkanen is good, but I don't think he can carry that defense.
  3. I doubt it was that........ It was most likely the best offer that Nash would accept.
  4. Florida has to get to the floor. That's a weird contract right there.
  5. Doan would immediately change the profile of the lines. And Give you Stafford - Pommer- Doan on the right side. Crap...that is a lot of options for two way play. He's worth overpaying for. Is there a better leader in Hockey? There might be as good as, but I don't think there is better. You might not get 25 goals, but you are getting much more than goals. Besides. What free agent going forward wouldn't want to play with Shane Doan?
  6. Taro sez: build me a statue!
  7. Like as in extra points for degree of difficulty?
  8. I would only assume that would count as negative weight in terms of scoring.
  9. They are certainly top 6 talent. If only because they really aren't 3rd or 4th line players. Ennis or Armia aren't guys you want on a checking or energy line. Its a case of top 6 or nuttin.
  10. I still think he's an NHL player. He's only played about 50 or so games in the NHL at defense. Given a situation where he can get ice time, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes 40 pt. player. I really don't make too much of Vancouver letting him go. As playoff depth, they got a guy who could pass with some playoff experience. It might be a bit of a stretch but I wouldn't be surprised if he plays 60+ games in Raleigh this year.
  11. Well, to be fair, a lot of that turf was clay. Guilty on the rest. BTW, how long are statutes of limitations in Carolina?
  12. Don't be surprised if MAGs makes the NHL roster. It was a smart place for him to sign because that is a pretty thin D core they have in Raleigh.
  13. I bet they would let him go for a coupon book and movie passes.
  14. Just as well, I couldn't spell either name.
  15. But in terms of thinking hockey, imagine Hossa in his prime in Columbus playing on a different line than Nash, which line would draw top coverage? Nash's or Hossa's?....it might be different every night, but they would both benefit.
  16. Kolulchuk had Hossa in his prime in Atlanta. That's more than Nash has ever had.
  17. thanks chz...
  18. Has anyone found a list of arbitration eligible players?
  19. I think he makes the roster. Yes.
  20. What is hard to know, however, is how taking the Parise off the Devils translates to other teams. Brian Gionta stayed fairly consistent, Scott Gomez .....not so much.
  21. 2011-12 pts. Tim Connolly 42 Sydney Crosby 37. :P It's been too long since our board"s last Tim discussion.
  22. Hmmmmm? Brodeur in Toronto would certainly change some dynamics.
  23. In: Brandon Prust, Steve Ott, Evander Kane Out: Ennis, Psyyk. Roy. Kaleta. (do this and the team gets a whole lot nastier to play against too)
  24. Hmmmm.......that's the next 984 games in Pittsburgh. 104,000,000 divided by 984 divided by 3 = $35,400 or so a period. or $116,000 a game if he plays or not. :)
  25. All things being equal, you have to go with the athlete with the least liver damage.
