  1. Louie joked about Buffalo, which was cool. Time Warner still suxxx
  2. Thursday? That means Jersey Shore is on. On the plus side, Thursday also means a new episode of Louie is on!
  3. Bees. Bees this time of year are getting kicked out of their nests, and become wandering nomads that like to incessantly buzz around and bee annoying.
  4. At least it wasnt the New Madrid that went. If/when that bad boy snaps, we will ALL feel it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Madrid_Seismic_Zone "In a report filed in November 2008, The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency warned that a serious earthquake in the New Madrid Seismic Zone could result in "the highest economic losses due to a natural disaster in the United States," further predicting "widespread and catastrophic" damage across Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and particularly Tennessee, where a 7.7 magnitude quake or greater would cause damage to tens of thousands of structures affecting water distribution, transportation systems, and other vital infrastructure. The earthquake is expected to also result in many thousands of fatalities, with more than 4,000 of the fatalities expected in Memphis alone. According to some scientists, however, that is nothing compared to what an 8.0 earthquake could do to the New Madrid Region. An earthquake of that size on the New Madrid Fault would destroy 60 percent of Memphis, killing tens of thousands and causing over $50 billion dollars in property damage in the city alone. The potential for the recurrence of large earthquakes and their impact today on densely populated cities in and around the seismic zone has generated much research devoted to understanding in the New Madrid Seismic Zone. By studying evidence of past quakes and closely monitoring ground motion and current earthquake activity, scientists attempt to understand their causes and recurrence intervals. In October 2009, a team composed of University of Illinois and Virginia Tech researchers headed by Amr S. Elnashai, funded by FEMA, considered a scenario where all three segments of the New Madrid fault ruptured simultaneously. The report found Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri most severely impacted, with Illinois and Kentucky also impacted but not as seriously. The cities of Memphis, Tennessee and St. Louis, Missouri would be severely damaged."
  5. Thank you for the game summary. Now I don't regret changing the channel 10 minutes into the game!
  6. Another thing to factor in, is that back in those years, they were making the playoffs. More games = more money. In those days, I couldn't even spit in any direction and not hit someone decked out in Bills gear. Now, I don't see anyone wearing Bills stuff. Also, the NFL itself is an even bigger beast now, then it was 20 years ago. So it is quite possible RW is making more or the same now. I can't proclaim to know anything business wise in regards to NFL merchandising cuts, tv contracts, profit sharing, etc. Not to mention the value of the dollar is also different in 2011 vs. 1991. It would be pretty neat if someone could figure out the profit difference between those Bills and the current ones...
  7. I am still a Bills fan, somehow. Although, the past couple seasons I have secretly begun rooting for other teams. I made a personal pact a few seasons ago, that I would not spend my money or go to games, until the team showed they were committed to winning. How do you go from a team that was so dominant in the 90s, to such a dismal display in the last 11 years? Where did the commitment go? When the Sabres have lousy teams, it's usually for only a couple seasons. The Bills are now reaching ridiculous levels. Remembering all the hype and excitement of the 90s when playoffs were rolling around, RW had to have been making WAAAAY more money than now. Bills fans were spending like crazy So what is the issue? It's embarrassing when people ask who your football team is, and you find yourself mumbling "the Bills." It's like having a disease that you are ashamed to admit to. Luckily, I am more of a hockey fan than football, but I find myself watching more of the alternate games on TV instead of the Bills.
  8. One waffle? There is ONE waffle left in the box? Who does that! I am sure gonna be full after stuffing this single, solitary waffle down my eager mouth hole.
  9. Exactly. I had Ovi all season, and there was a few points in the season when I would have been interested in trading him.
  10. I didnt realize this was a rule, and it led me to being stuck with Gaborik all season, which was frustrating. I didnt mind the immediate free agent pickups, because it gave me an opportunity to poach a few players that other teams didn't think anyone would grab in that 24 hour window. I ended up getting Setoguchi and Pavelski from that.
  11. Anyone who wants to play in a league, and didn't get into one of these, let me know. If there are enough people, I will set up a league.
  12. Check eBay. I saw one on there a few months ago for about $150
  13. I hear ya. I don't care much enough about cars to own something flashy, and I feel there are more important things to spend money on, like loved ones (and Sabres tix). But, I wonder if I should get something newer soon - before troubles begin. My luck with the Lumina has been unbelievable.
  14. I drive a 98 Lumina that I have had for about 10 years. She ain't flashy, but it's only had to get repairs once! Reading about what everyone else has, makes me wonder if it might be about time to move on...
  15. There is a Lindy Ruff thread? I didn't notice.
  16. I would like to play, if there's room. Played in an anonymous yahoo league for the first time, won the Cup despite entering playoffs ranked sixth. Would be fun to play with other Sabres diehards...let me know!
