    If the league is moving towards a more open offensive style, then why would he get another gig quickly?

    Did Laaksonen fall off of a cliff?

    The times I saw him earlier in the season, he was making really good passes, getting shots through from the point, and his vision and creativity looked great. 

    Was he exceptional defensively? No. But it looked to me like he was improving in that area. 

    I think the last time I saw him, he had 4 or 5 assists in a game against the Comets back in January, and he looked sound defensively. Then I didn’t see any games at all until the recent playoff game. 

    Did something happen where he completely fell off of a cliff in the last couple months???

    I think Zemgus said it himself.  He is comfortable leading without a letter, because he is quiet and he leads by example.  

    Tage has potential to get a letter. 

    Down the road longer, you could see Power evolving to a leadership role.  

    With the changes that Adams made we have solid character on the team.  

    Not quite sure I saw that in a small 8 game sample. 

    What I saw, was a player playing a simple game and trying not to screw up, and getting humbled by Tarasenko. 

    Pinching in on plays didn’t scream leadership to me.

    Winning wouldn’t change the fact that the game presentation sucks.

    I understand that times change, but things that are fun, don’t. Earl of Bud was fun, Dj Milk isn’t.

    Theres no limit to the things they could do to include the fans during breaks and intermissions. 

    You know what people generally like? Free stuff. Giveaways. Dont do “the first 10,000 fans get an RJ Banner / Sabres pennant” and then leave them on a stand where fans can grab 20 each. Make 20,000 and have employees hand them out one at a time. 

    I gave up my seasons, and then my mini packs, because the team was bad. I gave up going altogether the last few years because the game presentation wasn’t entertaining anymore. I’ll go see a bad team if it’s still an experience.

    -That was probably the worst officiating of any hockey game that I’ve ever attended in my life. 

    -The crowd was amazing all game long.

    -First Amerks playoff win in 8 years. 

    -The hit on Weissbach early in the 1st was ugly. He seemed to be unconscious. Apparently the refs were also unconscious, since there was no call. 

    -Dell made about a half dozen incredible saves in OT. The Amerks were lucky to win the game. They were clearly gassed at the end, and were being outplayed.

    -Meatballs, Cozens, Subban were not far behind me. Said hi, seemed like nice people.

    His shtick is being over the top, so yeah the WWF comparison is apt.

     

    I’m not deep enough into the NFL like that to know who he is. I don’t care for fake personalities like his.

    Is he from Buffalo? Why did the Bills have him announce their pick?
