    3) Girgensons (50% retained), Laaksonen and UPL and a 2nd in 2023 to Washington for Eller, Jensen and Samsonov.

You want to give up a veteran leader (AND PAY HALF), a solid D prospect, a solid G prospect, and a top pick up for 3 JAGs?

Why? What is your reasoning behind this?

  2. I haven’t read the thread, so I’m sure all of these things have been discussed already:

-the game calling (or lack thereof) was awful. Both teams feature a lot of young players, and the NHL missed an opportunity to showcase them. It was like a couple dudes ran into Gretzky while a game was playing in the background. I’m sure a lot of people under 30, especially kids, didn’t care to hear stories from 40 years ago - especially if I didn’t want to hear them. A couple stories would’ve been cool, but not during play and not the entire game.

-The Sabres made a lot of small plays that were impressive, particularly defensive ones I saw made by Dahlin and Samuelsson. Samuelsson is criminally underrated and he’s only going to get better.

-The Cozens hit and then staying to watch the rest of the game was amazing to see. This is the type of character the team lacked for a long time, and now they have a handful of these guys so far.

-I forgot exactly what he said, but before the game, Biz said something like “Toronto will annihilate Buffalo.” What a hack.

I have voluntarily opted out of watching most of the games this season for the first time since the 90’s, but happened to see the last 2, and I am happily surprised by what I watched Thursday and today. They look to finally be on the correct path.

    Also, F the Leafs.

This team plays with no structure, it looks like they're playing pickup.

I get the idea they're young and Granato wants to give them some leash to be creative... but there has to be some minimal sense of structure for them to operate in.    I don't see it.

It won't matter how much talent they add if they're all playing as individuals.

Sabres fans with Krueger: “too much structure, let them play!”

Sabres fans with Donnie G: “too much letting them play, where’s the structure?”

Rayzor quote of the night, quoting Mike Keenan: “if you don’t know what you’re about to do, the other team doesn’t either.”

I just spent every moment following that last regulation time kickoff curssing McDermott's name. Why would you end zone kick that? Like, really, WTF?

This was my biggest gripe of the game. Kick it in play, eat as much time as possible.

Favre was robbed of the SB MVP that year. By today’s standards there’s no way he wouldn’t get it. They give it to a QB every year now anyway. But he had 2 tds, a rush td, threw a 2pt convert, 107.9 rating (when you could hit the QB), 246 yards, no picks. As you definitely know - it wasn’t later Packers career Favre. That he wasn’t given the most valuable player cause of one play still doesn’t make sense

I just get annoyed that he claims his name is pronounced Farve when it’s clearly spelled Favre.

How did the R magically jump in front of the V?

Its the wrong thread for this topic, but interest by a PEI is not revenues when they are such a small portion of the value of the team.

And those decisions were still not revenue decisions, they were on the other side of the ledger.

What does Prince Edward Island have to do with anything?
