I think it just comes down to the "we need to be harder to play against" and not give up as many goals.

Good point. I'll just toss this out, but from the accounts we have, maybe JJP was kind of immature, so while, perhaps, we didn't get older, maybe we got more of character players in the trade. But ya, another vet probably would be a good idea

Norris replaces JJP's offense, as do other up and coming players. He really was kind of expendable He is already averaging about .5 points a game. That's alright

Unless its an addition by subtraction situation. If he was part of the problem, its just good he is gone. The players they got back look like solid NHL players

Yup, JJP is highly skilled, but this team has a problem playing as a team and it seems some of that was JJp, who wanted to score, but was skitchy on back checking. Him and Quinn were super fun to watch, but it was also a high wire act. Not sure if this is a case of "addition by subtraction" but it might be. Remember JJP slipped into the second round, in spite of all his talent. Maybe there is a reason for that.
