You make some good points VM, but some of that stuff just seems like negativity for it's own sake. Hodgson scored 19 goals in the NHL last year and is light years ahead of Luke Adam, and "turnover machine" is quite a stretch. Comparing Ennis to Max is just wrong. Very wrong. Ennis has never showed quit in his game, and actually backchecks. Grigo belongs here. Leino is much better than how he played last year. I am still expecting a big year from him, but being on IR is not a good start. And you pulled a lot of recent stats to prove your points, but they are over painfully short periods of time. You may be right , but I see potential in this lineup. And I think it definitely has a shot at the playoffs. EDIT: As for Vanek, Pommer, and Stafford, there's something to be said about getting rid of failed leaders of this team, but these are good hockey players. Just because these players were on the team while it lost doesn't mean they can't be a part of a winner.

It's a fine excuse for the players and the general slowness of the game, but how does Lindy (with all his experience) make these rookie coaching mistakes? Foligno is playing better this game, but he still doesn't appear to be playing angry. He's not finishing his checks or skating through people, he's just nonchalantly bumping into them. I was at the game sitting in the first row. The bartender beforehand didn't id me so my brother and i got hammered. Great time. Meh game. I can't really remember any specifics other than Reggie, Miller, and Vanek had good games.

There's definitely some reason to doubt, but the way people talk about him you'd think he's worse than Matt Ellis. Leino was of my favorite non-Sabres the year before we got him, so I'm biased, but I did watch him a decent amount. He definitely has AT LEAST the talent of an NHL second liner.

Millimeters and split seconds determine whether or not a goalie succeeds. You know it's different and just wanted an excuse to talk about Millers junk ;)

I think that's the most boring opinion ever and we've seen it about a trillion times since the start of last season. Leino's going to be the player everyone says he is if he doesn't have more talent than Hecht and Ott on his lein.

Sly wasn't terrible last night... So that's something.

I also think that Leino's talent is wasted if he can't play with a talented linemate. He and Grigs seem like a great combination, and I'm just waiting to see it.
