  1. Kevyn Adams bridged Sam when he wanted a long term deal, then after another season of trash, didn't want a long term deal. A real GM would have signed him and fixed the team, convincing him to stay.
  2. UPL got paid and then turned back into a pumpkin.
  3. I'm willing to watch the Sabres lose if it means the Bills win Sunday.
  4. If Edmonton calls and offers McDavid for 5, sure yea why not. Would really depend on the ask, but in reality, Adams won't do *****.
  5. Not when it's top 5
  6. Γ–stlund's old linemate Ohgren is on Minnesota's 2nd line tonight. Ohgren is a 6'1" lw
  7. The bad 18-20-8 Penguins take on the bad 17-22-5 Sabres in what some are calling "something to distract us until Bills Ravens"
  8. Well that's disappointing 😞
  9. He drives defense though. He isn't a positive defensive player by accident and he uses that to create rush offense. He might not be driving shots for but he does prevent shots against. You allow McLeod to work with a playmaker at wing and have a good middle 6 line. I wish we had Porter Martone because he'd worked well with McLeod due to the playmaker and rush ability.
  10. But you're arguing two different things. 1. Don't sign him at all 2. Don't sign him for x based on a career year That said, 4 yrs at 4.5 million actually sounds reasonable. He's probably having a career year in goals but you also need a 40pt 3rd line center.
  11. I will trade for him tomorrow. Byram for Nemec straight up, no questions asked.
  12. Dubas sucks. Might be the worst GM in the league and there saying something for a league where Adams is a gm.
  13. McLeod is giving you more goals than Cozens right now. At the same time he's way better defensively. I doubt it. Now you're asking for 2 centers, 1 middle 6 and 1 top 6. Idk how you trade for both. 1, sure I could see that. I really don't understand your McLeod hate. Guys done everything asked of him. It's a fairly indefensible position to suggest we shouldn't sign RFA McLeod and it's honestly bizarre to double down on it. He's a net positive for this team and for all the faceoff ppl, he wins those.
  14. Benson is 83rd! There are countless players on that list ahead of him who have never even seen NHL ice and are 20 in jrs that he's fawning over. Could you imagine Benson in jrs right now? Game would move so slow for him he'd be a 2ppg player.
  15. He does the same thing on 3rd and long where he has his corners play way way way off the line, rushes 4 and then expects idk what but teams basically just do crosses underneath for 12yards because the DB was 15yrds off the line on 3rd and 9. The Broncos game was the first time all year they stacked guys at the line on long 3rd downs.
  16. This settles it, Connor Clifton is better than Rasmus Dahlin, trade Dahlin and sign Clifton to an 8yr extension ASAP!
  17. A team in desperate need of centers shouldn't re-sign a middle 6 center?
  18. I gotta be honest, I don't find it interesting at all that Byram and Dahlin played "only" 21mins. The rest of it yes, but to me that looks like Power got an extra shift that Dahlin/Byram didn't. Now Cozens and Tage dropping down, that's interesting.
  19. I need to add something to this, Matthew Schaeffer being 1st overall isn't surprising at this stage. His broken collar bone will keep him out supposedly until the end of February or beginning of March. There is though some growing scouting movement towards him as the 1st overall. I personally do like him, but it would be a mistake IMPO, not because he isn't really good but because I think the forwards up there are just as good. Still, could make things interesting and get a forward to slide 1 extra spot.
  20. Now this is good. There is a name here that I really like, Carson Cameron. He is a 6'2" RHD that plays on a really awful team, I mean they have literally 1 guy who was drafted into the NHL. Cameron still is near the top of his team in points even though there are not a ton of points on that team. All that said, he's got a June 27th bday so he is very young for this class. These are the types of players you take in the 2nd or 3rd. Jake O'Brien is another name I think people should remember if Buffalo makes a miraculous run to 8th. The 6'2" center who also has a June bday just plays the game correctly IMPO. He's got good playmaking instincts, good size, and he's smart. I haven't decided on his skating yet, it looks fine though. Now, a late June guy at his size without dynamic skating isn't a major issue at all but I want to see his skating a bit more (which I probably wont). Shot looks good, positioning is really good. Just a really interesting player that will go in that 12-16 range. You know, he kinda reminds me a bit of Helenius but with more puck control. Helenius was a lot of give an go carry and pass without a ton of handles (he played against adults so makes sense) but O'Brien has a bit more of a handle to create space mentality. Either way, some of the playmaking and the ability to win pucks down low just reminded me of Helenius.
