So if you are correct, the Seravelli Tweet is the result of the agent feeding him that tidbit in the hope it might spark that last-minute overture. Which is a great illustration of how much of this stuff that we read and hear gets out.

Lundqvist, statistically, is far more than Ryan Johnson. He had 63 points in 97 games in the SHL as a 19 and 20-year-old defenceman. 8 points in 7 games in his last world juniors. 5 points in 3 games at this year's Men's world championship. Last year he scored the most goals by a U21 defenceman in SHL history and won their version of the Norris.

I understand all that and also have been focused on getting a potential 1C as a “must-have” Set it aside for a moment. How good are Chytil and Lundqvist and how good can they be?

Isn’t a two projected top 4 RHDs with complementary talents and a projected 2C a better return than a projected 1B C and a projected 4/5 (Krebs and Hague?)

Bad news because we lost a partner with some attractive assets? Good news because it means somebody else has finally got a good offer on the table? Completely meaningless? Its going to be a stressful day.
