Gerrymandering effects 1/2 of congress which is 1/3 of the Government. Surely the above exaggerates it's effect on the Federal Government. Gerrymandering explains nothing of the Senate, the White House, and by corollary the Supreme Court.

They are window dressing for you. They are core foundation issues for gay americans, African American voters, immigrants with undocumented family members, etc. and the lives of the first two i mentioned there have changed significantly in the last 2 years.
