Did we get more for Moulson than the Isles for Vanek?
I think the 2 second roundes for Matty are ok, so we received 1 first and three second rounders for Vanek.
The Halak trade I do not understand, but we will see what happen.

Just listened to Nolan's presser after practice this morning. Based on Nolan's comments I wouldn't be surprised if Stafford is one of the captains or the captain for the rest of the season. Nolan was impressed with how Stafford handled himself after the Miller/Ott trade and Nolan also said the captaincy would be passed around.
I just heard that in the video.
My reaction was : What!

It is a sad day/ morning for me. I did not check this page for12 hours ans hell breaks loose.
I am sad, because I am big fan of PLF. I loved him as player, as classy individuum and also as president of hockes operations.
I believe he hired a good GM and I also believe he resigns not because he had a disagreement with TM, because he could have fired him easily. Or maybe he tried and he was fired instead, I do not know.
I had the dream of a glory rebirth of the Buffalo Sabres, today this dream still exists, but its glory is already fading.
I hope the Sabres will calm down after this catastrophe and won't tear themselves apart. If the office is not calm and is spitting poison at each other the team won't be unaffected by this.
This could be the beginning of a very turbulent time, which won't lead us too achievement, glory and championships.
It is a sad day today.

It was a good game, in which the sharks did not realize what hit em.
If you look on our lineup i can not understand how we can win with it.
But Teds magic is working I suppose.
I fear the antitank is rolling good now and as every year we may loose some draft positions.
On the other hand I can not blame them to try to win, because that is what they are payed for.

Hmm, I personally like Ristolainen more than Zadarov. Why? He scored the tournament title clinching goal at the WJC.
THIS shows true potential. Hopefully he scores the SC clinching goal for us too.
Regarding the draft I have not decided yet who we should draft, but I hope we can get Dreisaitl with the Islanders pick.

If this play from last night is any indication, he seems to have rebounded from his benching pretty well.
That was an eyecatcher. I miss him, but I am happy for him that it is going well.

It'll be interesting to see Ullmark's numbers next year. I'd be willing to bet we'll see him come back down to earth, but if he can keep those numbers up? Wow.
I'd say it's almost a certainty that they'll let Ullmark play in the SHL at least another year. He likely won't come to North America until he's very near NHL ready. He might get a transition stint in Rochester to get used to the smaller ice.
Don't worry the numbers will drop.

I've seen the Sabres do it without a fight resulting. Maybe Hartley wanted to get the puck deep and then get a better matchup out there. It's a perfectly legitimate tactic.

It is not probable of course, but when even Gretzky can get traded, everybody can
