Dreger: #Coyotes definitely willing to part ways w/ Keith Yandle. #RedWings have interest, but are more interested in Tyler Myers. #Sabres

Does anyone have an idea what could come back from them?

Myers is on the border to breakout. Currently he is on bottom value, so of course a clever managed team like Detroit is interested.

I would take the risk to give him those two or three years when we will be an improved team again.

  2. Uggh, glad some of you aren't in charge, i'd go nuts.

Trading myers for #3 should be enough alone, and even then we are overpaying.

Thank you, this is exactly what I think.

Number three pick is not a guarantee to get an nhl player, even less to get a player better than Myers in the long run.

  3.

Ends in a 2-2 tie. Could still get caught by Ghana.

WOW, great game from both teams!

    MIRO KLOSE, FUSSBALLGOTT!!!

    I am still energized. Pheeew.

And by the way: Miroslav Klose tied the goal record at 15 for alltime most succesful goalscorer at world championships.

I believe that the statistic nerds would like this :)

  4. Just an unbiased question:

Are all those tank "preachers" owner of season tickets?

I would suggest they are'nt, but I would love to hear from those who are season ticket owners.

If I would not be living in Germany but in Buffalo I believe I would, depending on my salary, own season tickets.

But then I would like to see a competetive team instead of a tank galore and would pray for a big splash from GMTM.

    What do you think?

  5. I'm pulling for the Blackhawks. I love that team. Another cup makes them a near dynasty which hasn't happened in a long time.

Please do not burn me for the following comment.

If Chicago wins the third cup, I believe Kane would have won everything in Chicago and may be open to choose the hard way with the small chance to become a legend in his hometown by bringing the Cup home.

Why win a fourth cup in Chicago, when clearly the bigger and much more difficult ( maybe impossible) quest would be to win the cup with Buffalo.

  6. If you don't want someone flying into your goalie, don't knock the skate they are balancing on. Honestly to me it looked entirely like Emelin (i think) fault. Also Tokarski played fantastically, especially last night, i'm not sure Price's presence would have changed much. Tokarski did enough for his team mates to trust him.

If you only get 18 shots on goal, you probably aren't going to win

    Exactly!

I honestly like the Rangers. Yes they have a somewhat more straightlined type of hockey in their arsenal than the hardnosed Bruins, but its elegance and and succesfullness reminds of the typical Lidstrom Red Wings hockey of the past.

The Rangers are on a run, they are inspired by Marty and if all stars wake up ( hear me Mr. Nash) and play to their potential they are not a to easy to beat team in the finals.

You have left out one very important factor here, a certain winger will be entering a contract year. I fulling expect the 16 goals he scored last season to jump up into the 30's this year.

Not to mention the Leino Factor. Is there much doubt that Leino will have a huge bounce back year scoring 20-25 goals? Not enough to push this team into the playoffs, just enough to ruin everyone's hopes and dreams.

If Stafford does this we can sell him at the deadline ( again a captains trade)

@Leino: Do you really think he will be here next year?

  8. What I currently live through with the Sabres, I would compare with one of the best triologies of all time.

First there was "A new hope" with the firing of Regier and the hiring of Patty.

Then after Lafontaine resigned I felt like in "The mediocrity strikes back"

Next season it may be more like "The return of the tanks".

When we are succesful, hopefully McDavid will use his force for us the season after next season.
