I love that the Rangers won.
I also loved the fight Minni gave to Chicago. They lost with pride, grit and great fight.
So hopefully the Canadians hunt down the bear tonight. Boston is the favorite of course but in game 7 nearly anything can happen, right?

I love that the Rangers won, they have a great team and I like to watch them.
Minnesota is great too. I never thought they would achieve it, but it is fantastic.
That the sharks blew a 3:0 lead is sad, because I think they have a great team.
LA on the other hand just know how to win when it counts. I really would love a Sabres team playing like them in the post season.
I really cheer for the Habs, because I hate no team mor than the Bruins and because I am a fan of Thomas Vanek.
He is a star I would love to see winning a cup.

I don't watch him enough, but the last 2 games I saw, he made a selfish icing with 1 minute left and an empty net. Not even a realistic chance to hit the net, and not enough pressure to warrant a panic dump. Everyone praises him, but that doesn't seem like a smart player.
Comments like this and the fact like we ran Vanek out of town show to me, that Buffalo fans only very seldom find a super star they can accept.
I do not mean this personal ghost, but I have read so many strong comments about few flaws of super stars in this forum, that I believe/ fear that nobody is good enough for the Sabres. During Gilberts rule in Buffalo this forum did not exist, but I am sure we would have read comments that he is lazy many times.
Yeah I love king Pavel Datsyuk, it would be a dream to have one like him on the team.

I wish we hurt them really bad. Run Rask so he is concussed until end of playoffs.

It was kind of confusing the way I said it. I was taking issue with wanting him gone, not saying he hasn't been mailing it in. (even though Ehrhoff mailing it in is still better than almost every other d-man)
Ehrhoff plays first defense pairing minutes on the worst nhl team with bloody rookies on his site.
Look at the pairings with him since the deadline.
Yeahh Risto is soo awesome but Ehrhoff is so bad. I have not seen all games since then, but when i watched a game he was playing as always with good positioning, good poke checks and nice shots from the blueline. He gets the great line against him. Weber, McBain and McCabe get the neutered minutes.

Only one person made that comparison. And they're obviously a bit crazy.
I would go with Jagr, because he is one of the shining stars in the league.
But of course to make those comparisons is ridiculous.

Weber saw the whole thing with Lieuwen, he was in the crease when it happened.
We were overmanned by Philly. Weber is useless when he not use the only thing he has, some grit.
Why do we have Scott on the roster if we do not send him out for revenge? He is useless too and I give deluca full credit for his opinion on him.
Not only are we without talent but also without grit.
RIP Buffalo Sabres, my tiny hopes for a fast rebuild were destroyed by this gutless effort.

The all rookie pairing of McCabe and Rudy scares the crap out of me... but we already clinched dead last in the standings, so I guess it doesn't really matter.
They can not be worse than Weber with whoever ( automatic worst pairing in nhl)

@all Ehrhoff bashers: Sorry, if you really want to trash d men than trash Weber and McBain but not Ehrhoff.
Weber is the current worst d man in the league, he has ZERO hockey sense . He is so bad that I wish we had send him to the Canucks instead of Marc Andre Gragiani. Yes he is so bad!
McBain has a nice shot but his defensive behavior is nearly as bad as Webers. To combine those two in one line is the new version of legion of doom, only that they are our doom not the one of our opponents.
Ehrhoff is by far the best d man we have. I would put him into the group of the 50 best d men in the league. We do not have a forward who can achieve this and I am not sure if we have a goalie in the top 25 of the league.
I watched the game until 3:0 and watched than the rest as condensed version. i like that the team came back and that 44 scored his first goal.
The thing I miss most since Miller is gone is his rebound control. Our current goalies all handle the puck like hot potatoes and do not have it under control. Neither Lieuwen nor Hacket are nhl caliber goalies, Enroth and Neuviert still have to prove that they are more than backup goalies.
So currently my evaluation of the situation is
We have bottom 5 goaltending,
bottom 10 defense and
with a huge gap to number two the worst offense in the league.
It can only get better right?

I do not think we trade Ehrhoff.
he will be needed to teach the young guys. but the most important argument is the potential cap hit if he retires early when we trade him now. This cap hit would come at a timepoint when we will be a great franchise with lots of talent and to less cap to hold them all.
I do not believe he would give us the Pronger treating by showing concussion symptoms until end of his contract. i am not saying he is faking it, but it could be worse for the Flyers if he had just retired instead being concussed.

Here's where I disagree.
Your argument works today because the gap between the Lundqvists and the Rasks to the next tier of goalies today is not huge.
The gap between Hasek and Rask or Lundqvist is far greater.
Hasek was special. He dominated. He made a bigger difference in more games than Lidstrom or Forsberg ever did.
During his heyday, he would have been picked first overall.
I agree,
Dominik Hasek is a one of a kind hockey player, he was able to carry your team like Lemieux or Gretzky did.
I would put him in their class. One of the top 5 hockey players all time.

Hacket was awesome.
But we really need some FAs this summer to improve.
Yeah I know we are tanking, but we are currently not a team, which is worthy to play in the NHL.
I would like to see some nice Buffalo hockey, not the endless tank parade we are seeing now and the next games until end of the season.

Great game from the Kings. They really know how to play playoff hockey.
Also to see them being so classy for Teemu after game was also great.
The finals will be awesome in the west as well as in the east.
