For the record: if the proposal is Reinhart, Risto and #21 for Malkin, I think Pittsburgh says no, not GMTM.
Thanks, I also think that also if we add Grigorenko Pittsburgh may say no.
We overvalue our prospects on this board in my opinion. When Malkin is on fire in the playoffs he single handedly can win it four you, like he did for Pittsburgh.

I would be happy when the Sabres would be as dominant as the Rangers during the playoffs during one of the next few playoff seasons.

I voted one, because Chad Johnson is an epmty piece of paper to me. I always expect a backup to compete for number one job, so answer number two makes no sense to me, except for the money. I think he will get backup contract money when he gets signed.

I always thought makarov should be our #2 goalie next year. Hopefully they sign Niemi :p
Will be interesting to see what Murray does about our goalie situation.
He will draft the biggest available Swede or Finn in third or fourth round of the incoming draft ;)

From women atheltics back to hockey.
I liked what I saw from Makarov, he is very quick on his feet, has a good glove and made some reaally spectacular saves. 3:0 through 5 hole was maybe a softy, but I liked what I saw.
But maybe iit is just based on the fact that all goalies this year are looking well with our current system.

I am really looking forward what Larsson may become.
Hacket was already a bust in the JP29 trade. Left are Zadorov, Larsson and second rounder I do not know we converted into.
Trade winner is still pending, but I believe it will be a win win hockey trade for both teams because JP fits very well to the Wild right now and we have the better players around when it counts for us.

This is how I feel today.
If they win 29th championship then they earned it with their effort. Yes for us fans it is sad to not get Eichel guaranteed, but this is what hockey stands for.
Honest effort and trying to win every game.
I hope the new lottery rules will make it easier to be happy about wins although the team sucks

I believe the current Buffalo playing style let the goalies shine:
Many shots, so they are always in game, ready and focused.
I do not believe that Irbe is the master mind behind that.
He has some influence, but I think he is not the main root cause for the uprise of 4 different keepers this year.
What got me angry today was the equalizer from Pittsburgh against Arizona. Mike Smith shots the puck behind the net on a Pittsburgh player directly in front of the net so that the puck deflected in. I shout : Foul play!!

When I read this and I realize that I also hopped my team to lose games I just can say that the current system is a shame. It must change.
Ther should be a full lottery of all non playoff draft picks with equal chances of winning each spot. Put 14 balls in a bowl and draw one after the other.
Losing on purpose is ridiculous, force fans to cheer that their team must lose is even more ridiculous.

Dear lord I need to confess my sins.
Although I cheered for every Bufallo goal in todays game I felt relieved when the
Panthers scored 4:3 goal. I felt happy and deeply ashamed. Please let us be great next season so that such things never repeat.
Back to GDT.
This is what I hate in the US sport system ( Don't understand me wrong, I love the balance in NHL the trade dead line and the playoffs). But when you are bad, you really need to be bad to draft high. My favorite soccer club Borussia Dortmund really sucked during the first season half. They were even on last place, which means to go down one league at the end of the season (to a league like ahl level).
Now they won 4 games in a row and I am relieved that they are back in the mid field.
Buffalo on the other hand needs to lose so we get even more better with McEichel next seasons. How can I cheer to win games without any sense?
I am looking forward to next season when the lottery changes even more.
By the way if I remember correctly Alexander Daigle was also a generational talent during his draft, when Ottawa won the race of shame. He was a bust, so this can happen.
