  1. Centers - Grigs, Hodgson (maybe Girgensons as 3rd line Center next year). Still need true #1 - Ennis can be involved in a trade (possibly Miller or 1st round pick is used in a combo) Wingers - Foligno, Ott, Vanek (possible trade getting that #1 Center), Pommer, Armia D - Myers, Ehrhoff, Sekera, McNabb, Brennan, Pysyk Goalie - Miller (but very open now to involve him in a trade that gets true #1 Center) With the addition of a #1 center, I think this team is about 2 years away from taking a serious run. Pegula STILL has to make his signature move and I think we will see that by mid July with Miller and/or Vanek exiting this team.....
  2. I really don't have a lot of emotion for this particular year as I know they can't do much damage in the East anyway. The thing that is really blows though is that Sabres Bruins games are starting to feel like Bills Patriots. Some day Buffalo, some day.....
  3. Come on people, Sabres deserved this loss. How many chances and odd breaks do they give teams. Like I said, If Miller doesn't steal the game, Sabres will lose every time. How the he'll am I going to sell 12 games this year.....
  4. This is just disgraceful watching the clearing attempts.
  5. Interesting you say that because I feel the exact opposite. The only teams I actually feel more comfortable playing are the likes of Columbus. This team just does not seem to have much behind it unless Miller has one of his great nights. I don't know if it's the lockout, the boring offense or the lack of atmosphere in the building - this team just isn't doing it for me.....
  6. I think I see a pattern. Ha, 3 in a row in a48 game season. Can we agree that this team will be fighting for the 8 spot all year (hopefully)....
  7. This team still has zero identity. They are not fun to watch on offense, the have barely hit anyone in the last 5 years and all in all, the games are pretty boring. Maybe that changes this year but I know when I am there, it is just brutal to watch unless there are goals. It is not the fan's responsibility to create excitement, it's the players. Give me something to cheer for and I'll make a hell of a lot more noise (and I make more than the average fan by a llllllot.) Thank God for the Toronto and Montreal games or every night would suck.....
  8. I have already accepted that the only games I will watch from start to finish will be the ones I attend. The lockout made me realize that I really did not miss it that much which is strange coming from a 1/2 season ticket holder. This team sorely lacks playmakers and that became even more obvious after watching Stall just cat and mouse us.
  9. Compare the talent on these two teams and these losses should come as no surprise. If I could switch rosters today, I would. I predicted Carolina was going to make a deep run into the playoffs this year and I think they only get better. I just wish these games had any sort of entertainment value...
  10. So far, I have been completely bored watching these Sabres games. Maybe they can Make every year a 48 game season
  11. I think it's going to take more than I thought to get me fired up for this season. I've been pretty emotionless through 3 games.
  12. Miller barely had to move as he was in PERFECT position alllllll night. He needs to be a part of this team if they ever want to win a cup.
  13. Mother Nature picked a reeeeeeal shittty day to knock the power out from 4am to 6:30pm.
  14. I see 6 or 7 seed but I really think it all depends on Rask and Miller (especially Rask). I think Carolina is going to have a strong run for some reason....
  15. In order for the Sabes to be a contender, we still have to get that true #1 Center (which they will), move grigs to 2nd line and Hodgson to 3rd line next year (or vice versa). I can see a 1st round pick, a Dman and Ennis getting traded for that #1 C.
  16. This just HAS to stick all season - sooo good. On a side note, I was taking my daughter to a tennis lesson and told her that I was thinking about taking her to the scrimmage (but didn't). Her response - "Awwww, that would have been the first time I could have seen John Scott." I bet she is the only 7 year old girl to say that!
  17. What does this have to do with us season ticket holders? I kid, I kid.......
  18. Well, just saw the recap of the northeast division on NHL network and that was just the kind of jumpstart I needed. Looks like I'm ready for the season now and I'll be picking Boston Friday night as my first choice in the ticket draft. The NHL crew really made a point to say sabres will be ALOT tougher to play against. Let's hope that's true....
  19. That would upset me more than the lockout did.....
  20. Lot of afternoon games which is great for kids out there..... Last 5 out of 7 at home, nice The 2 Boston home games Sunday night - weak
  21. Or Philly shakes off the cobwebs while the Sabres finally get it in gear down 4-0 in the 3rd. Sorry, just trying to be in mid season form myself!
  22. Looks like my ticket draft won't be until Tuesday.....
  23. http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/09/report-kings-to-host-hawks-on-opening-night/
  24. I meant SUNDAY the 20th - AFC Championship which will probably Manning vs Brady
  25. Sunday the 20th is home opener?! - holy crap could they have picked a worse possible date? Maybe they can make fan appreciation day on Super Bowl Sunday as well.
