  1. Those Ontario peeps, always coming in droves to shop here, weird. I made sure to make some comments, I got some chuckles and some grump faces. Either way, F em
  2. .... You mean, leafs lose 5 of 6 ?
  3. I'm out doing some shopping on Niagara falls Blvd and in noticing 2 things. A. How are there so many people off of work at 1pm on an idle Wednesday, like seriously, all the yuppies are in full force, especially at TjMaxx/homegoods B. I've seen a significant number of maple leaf jerseys on and not one Sabres jersey, it's annoying and it pisses me off, I wanna beat the leaves/leafs even more now.
  4. Not the fact that he didn't decapitate anyone, but the overall feel in that arena was probably pretty crazy. Maybe I'm 125 years old trapped in a young man's body, but bring that stuff on every day and I'm ok with it. I'd also be OK with Gladiator fights and etc in the modern day, so maybe it's just me
  5. It's a little over the top, BUT, I think this is pretty awesome, id love to see our team of cream puffs do something like this. You don't have to like this, or agree with it, but this is entertainment
  6. I waited until today to make my corn beef. 5 lb flat cut, take a large onion and a lemon and thinly slice them, I trim the surface fat and cold rinse the corning salt off, then Lay in a roasting pan, onions and lemons in top with fresh peppercorn, whole Clove, and allspice, then 6 cups of water and cover and cook at 325 for about 4 hours. Take Dijon mustard and brown sugar coat the top over the roast and broil for 5-8 minutes to crust it up. Delicious with a unique flavor, the rest gets sliced up for fresh Reubens for the week ?
  7. So were all the other players in the locker room. Why does he get a pass over, say, Jack and Reinhardt. He forced his way outta here, one way or another and now I bid him good riddance.
  8. I didn't hear many boos during the welcome back, and he wasn't overly booed during the game, but the noise in that place during the shootout.... Amazing
  9. So booing an opponent during a shootout is poor sportsmanship. If you were an employer and an employee came in making others around him worse and telling you your company is making him lose his love for the career, you'd be fine with it? I fear that many don't realize how bad Mr ROR was here, at least off ice. But that's not a conversation for now and this thread. Anyways, I thought it was freaking awesome in that building last night, finally, and booing the everloving ***** outta ROR was a big part of it.
  10. He basically said he lost the love of the game and more or less wanted outta here.... On a fundamental level, I get it, we sucked, he wanted to be the captain, Yada Yada. But that talk, is a smack in the face to us, he coulda went about it a different way, but didn't. Right or wrong. So he deserves to be booed, every single time he steps on buffalo ice. Is a buffapride thing to me
  11. I enjoyed tonight. I'm still super pumped about getting the signed Dahlin Puck!! Game notes, Jack was not good, he again shied away from contact, and whined a lot.... Man up buddy KO, Larsson, Z, all played with an edge all game, it was nice to see. Casey, it was a rough game for him, and honestly he is just not ready for the NHL, neither is Tage, they may be good, but they need some serious seasoning. Erod and Skinner play a very similar game and I enjoy them, Erod is a vital part of this team going forward. Risto is a hockey idiot The officials were straight up terrible tonight. Sobotka, Tage and Casey cannot play defense at all, I cringe when the other team has the Puck in our zone. That 3rd was a thing of beauty, if we played anywhere near that every game and still went 3-7 we'd be a much more complacent fan base, please bottle whatever that was and use it every game. It was nice to see ROR get the solid boos he deserved and then lose it, epic, he didn't hit the net, but if it was a Tim Hortons, he would have.
  12. Stupid penalty, but embellished quite a bit, that PP though, cmon....not everything needs to go through jack
  13. I feel ya, it's still my team, but I don't feel good about this one. It's OK to have confidence waver on occasion, but end of the day, it's OUR team
  14. Scored a sweet signature at the mystery Puck pick. Dahlin!!!
  15. I honestly thought this was about Tim Hortons, Housley is like the old coffee burnt the the bottom of the pot and the cream/sugar machine malfunctioned. And the new cashier charges you extra for it
  16. Ovechkin-Crosby-Kucerov Landeskog-Eichel-Kane Point-McDavid-Rantannen Skinner-Granlund-Schiefle I want these lines, we can keep our current D
  17. Sabretooth has lost velocity on his T shirt tosses, and should be bought out at seasons end. Hopefully tonight we get some luck, but then again, I don't care much ?
  18. Ok so I just watched the highlights and Wtf was ullmark doing, wow, that was atrocious goaltending. It appeared the Sabres had chances and were in the game, ouch
  19. So my gf Wants to go, and at 11 bucks a ticket, why not. It's a cheap date night and we can always leave early again. I hope it's better than the Pittsburgh debacle, but not holding my breath
  20. 8 dollar tickets on stubhub, ouch
  21. I wish my patients were actually sick, instead we have a generation of powderpuff individuals who are a drain on overall society.....anyways I digress. Yes, advancements happen, and I want to see fights still happen on occasion, when needed. Not everything that was done "the way its always been" is wrong, may need some tweaking, but it's one of the thing that keeps hockey, well, hockey.
  22. I don't know, 2019 is hitting hard. No one likes hearing about head injuries, CTE and fallouts, I do believe fighting in the sport shouldn't be a focal point, but this is freaking hockey, fights are part of the game. Everything is becoming so damn politically correct that I can't even handle current life these days, I've been avoiding a lot of topics here, because they mainly turn into someone getting offended and then off the rails and down into the abyss that is our beloved buffalo sabres. End of the day, these boys/men are making more money than most of us will ever see, the risks are known and they can be severe. Sure, money isn't everything, but if sure as hell helps a bit. If you can't handle the emotion or physicality of the game, there are 50 others waiting for your spot. Staged fights and etc are crap, but a playoff run or even a run to just get into the playoffs is awesome and that comes with high emotions and etc (as buffalo fans, we forget what this looks like) End rant
  23. Man that was one unorganized mess of hockey, players were running into each other, passes were worse that they have been all season...... No one in front of The net, etc etc Montour and Dahlin looked good. Nylander was invisible again, except the one play I saw him get burned on through the neutral zone. Tage, idk what is up with him, he has one move, the toe drag, and he rarely executes it, and is so Charmin soft it's not funny. Skinner tried, ill give him that, but that's not enough in these dark days. Sad state of affairs indeed
