My complaint is that I'm stupid enough to block shots in PICKUP hockey. I took one to the medial aspect of the left knee last Friday night. I've never, EVER, had a shot block hurt that badly or last this long. And I have great shin pads, too. This must've just hit perfectly and caused a ridiculous bone bruise. Still swollen, stiff, and sore. Missing my 2nd league game tonight, gave up two referee gigs last weekend, will probably miss tomorrow's pickup and had to take a MITE game on Saturday just to try the leg out in a slow-paced skate. Why am I so stupid when I play? I guess it's a macho thing. This time it really bit me.

Thanks a lot Schrades! I always make sure to tap the little guys on the head when I leave the ice. Makes em see refs ain't so bad. Gotta start 'em early on that, because their parents and coaches will teach 'em differently. Shrader if the refs know you hate them, they will enjoy seeing you obtain that welt. You get more flys with honey, Mister. Hey Wolfie, you better watch it! ^this (nice work Pebble).

Hockey coaches that are OUT OF CONTROL on the bench, that teach their players that predatory hits are OK, and get more OUT OF CONTROL when I call them penalties. What a joke. That team is now blocked in my schedule so I don't have to see it anymore. Football on skates. I like good hitting, but it's gotta be clean and on time. Taking 3 strides to slam a player into the boards, in the head (usually), 3 seconds after he has passed the puck, is stupid, bad, dirty hockey. Some people just don't get it. ^this

And by the way, I went home to Buffalo a few weekends ago. I reset the MPG meter and the Fuel Used meter before I hopped on the freeway. From Avon, Ohio to HSBC Arena, I got 47 MPG from my Cruze Eco. I love this car. Fun to drive, great mileage, looks great.

2011 Chevy Cruze Eco. Great gas mileage and a turbo when it's needed. Just got it. My new daily driver. 2008 Chevy Equinox - wife's car 1992 Chevy K1500 4x4. Had been eye balling this truck for 2 years when it finally had a for sale sign on it. Traded Ford Ranger and Olds Alero on the Cruze and bought the K1500 later that day. (I don't mess around!) Great for Lowe's and Home Depot Runs, and a little fun when needed!

I don't. His actions caused his opponent to remove a hand from his stick. The call against Boyle was weak, too, as Sekera just fell under the pressure from the ridiculously STUPID play he made. Lots of questionable calls in that game. Not that we ever want the Sabres to have a power play, because theirs just blows, and has since Arniel left the Sabres.

12 games in and I've lost hope already. This really isn't like me, but I just don't see any good out there, just the same old, same old. This is the first time I've said it; I think Ruff's time is just about up.

Gerbe's hustle is second-to-none. A lot of the core players could learn from his example. Once he gets with some scorers, his points will come. He has been a forechecking and backchecking (which Lindy loves) machine. Ennis is the real deal. What a deft touch on that goal last night. He's the new Briere. Love McCormick with Hecht and Connolly. Don't much love Hecht or Connolly, but I think the Code-Man makes them both accountable for the most part. Great win boys. Now do the same to the Phlyers and make me believe again!

I was happy that at least he showed some heart, albeit in a dirty way. I think he's gonna get a game for that, or at least a talking-to. I don't mind that it was Ruutu, though.

I was sitting in the stall today and heard a couple dudes come in, piss, flush the toilet (oooooh, the handle :sick: ), then leave without washing. First of all, their piss residue is on the door handle, second of all, everyone's piss residue is now on their hands. I wonder if they even realize why they always have colds. Scumbags. I ALWAYS wash, then always use a paper towel to open that door handle. I heard that the mens room door handle is one of the most bacteria laden spots in all the world. Yay. And yeah, the bastards that piss all over the seat don't make my mood any cheerier, either! Hmmmmm....piss is not censored. Shocking.

I NEVER watch reality shows. Just never got into 'em. Right now I love Rules of Engagement (I swear someone that knows me must have created the character Jeff (and my name is Jeff) played by Patrick Warburton) and can't wait for Rescue Me to start again. Oh, and playoff hockey is great to watch, too, but I hear that series is ending within 2 weeks, damn.
