I understand where you are coming from. I have been Johnny Raincloud all season and I thought a little hope for the future might now be a bad thing.
@Thorny Mitts and R2 can be centers as well. That said the off-season game plan has to be upgrading goaltending, another 2c, one vet stay at home D to play with Dahlin and a proven RW.
LW is Skinner, VO, Mitts & Girgensons
C is Eichel, 2C, Cozens & Lazar
RW is Reinhart, ????, ????, Sheahan?
D - Dahlin & Risto.
I think C is Eichel, Cozens (he's shown enough already), Lazar and X

Yep. I was at work and didn’t see that. The NHL, of course, leaves it up to the refs.
Rule 42 - Boarding
42.1 Boarding – A boarding penalty shall be imposed on any player who checks an opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to be thrown violently in the boards. The severity of the penalty, based upon the degree of violence of the impact with the boards, shall be at the discretion of the Referee.
There is an enormous amount of judgment involved in the application of this rule by the Referees. The onus is on the player applying the check to ensure his opponent is not in a vulnerable position and if so, he must avoid the contact. However, there is also a responsibility on the player with the puck to avoid placing himself in a dangerous and vulnerable position. This balance must be considered by the Referees when applying this rule.I have every confidence that a Sabre would have been penalized for that same hit.
I agree. Cozens is learning a tough lesson that he must always protect himself. There should have at least been a boarding call. Tough hit and I hope the kid is OK.
I see him as our Jonathan Toews - he shows all the qualities so far.

I thought Dahlin would be 10 times the player Bryson is and there in lies the problem. We thought he was going to be at HOF level from the get go. As we’ve seen, our expectations needed to be tempered. At this point, I’d be thrilled with Alexei Zhitnik level of play.
He's become completely useless defensively. On that Hayes goal, he did absolutely NOTHING to stop the pass or tie up the goal scorer. Same thing on the Matt Martin goal.

You just had to know that when the Flyers made it 4-3 that they'd win the game.
I said to myself, the Flyers will win this in OT. Wasn't far from wrong.
Bryson is what we all thought Dahlin would be. Kid's a keeper.

I think what this means is that it's not the players, it's the system.
The Sabres look like they're skating in mud while everyone else is actually skating on ice.
The system and this "connected" BS appears to mean the forwards have to slow down to let the D catch up so they can attack as 5.
The speed at which the Sabres play is horrendously slow.
That's the system - that's the coach.

Sure liked that Tampa/Chicago game today. So that's what NHL speed looks like. Hmmmmm.

EVERY team looks so.

Da heck is wrong with RK? How do you NOT put Cozens back on the line with Hall and Staal. That's been the best line we've had lately. They pass the eye test! Maybe RK needs his eyes checked.

When a Ranger player starts punking Dahlin around will any Sabre do anything about it?
Maybe Dahlin should do something about it himself. Stop using the "I'm a Swede we don't do that" excuse. Man up. All of you!

Hall hitting the inside of goalpost last night and having it bounce out...
We pissed off some God somewhere. We should hire a priest or witch doctor to perform an exorcism on the team
It's the Drury-Briere Curse, I tell ya!

To my eyes, there is very little hustle and very little speed in his game. It looks like he no longer gives a (crap) about the Buffalo Sabres.

I apologize for making this analogy, but this is what I’ve always said to my beer league team many years ago. We have one sheet of ice that is Olympic size and we were a terrible team. Teammates would always complain about being on the larger ice because that meant the better skating opponent would destroy us. It was always the opposite.
Larger ice services just means more junk ice. “keeping things to the outside” always meant there was more outside to keep the park in. We always did better in reality, but people clinged on to their cliches.
Ah yes, the Laurel Gardens Ice House. As a D-Man, I NEVER chased anyone into those corners. Too far to recover. Hiya Scott!

Above is a list of movies I can watch over and over. Are they great? That's subjective, but to me they are.

The "sleep on it" remark from RaKru is what is sticking with me.
Because if there's an acute illness or immediate need with his family to which he must attend (wife, kids, parents (?)), then there's no sleeping on it -- off you go. Sleeping on it seems to imply other things.
I think the "Sleep on it" remark was in regards to what Linus wants released to the public regarding the situation.

Rivet was a very good hockey player but frankly I don't like him on the Instigators. He makes the most simple statement sound so profound and is a total homer in most cases. I like Marty,Rob and Peters much better than Rivet. JMO.
Rivet is OK, but if I hear just one more "Eyng gonna tell ya," I might lose what's left of my mind.

No sympathy. This is all ego and showboating. These guys become bankrupt because of their own stupidity and blind trust in others.
That's enough money to set up his entire family FOREVER if done right.
3 percent of 5 million is 150k; of 50 million is 1.5m. 3 percent is pretty easy to earn with the right advice, but you've still got to WATCH who's got their hands in the pie.
Learn how to live on either of those numbers - it's pretty easy to do unless you're a showboat.
Guess who's a showboat?

Is there a way to catch Sabres games over the radio? If memory serves I don’t think WGR covers the games live but I could be wrong. I have NHL Network so am covered with highlights and news.
Growing up as a baseball fan, I’m use to following sports on the radio so would be interested to know if this is an option.
Yes, WGR has ALL the Sabres games live on the Radio.com app. I use it quite a bit.

Is Sling the only option for streaming NHL network ? I’m getting close to cutting the cord. My friends have advised me to get YouTube tv but they don’t have nhl network.
FuboTV has NHL Network in it's highest tier package.
