  1. It depends on who it is. I want to believe that a coach like Julien, Boudreau or Gallant can come in and win more than they lose right away and would command the players respect. If it's someone like Appert, Adams or Player Development Coach #1, it would depend on the players buying in. Maybe they get creative and bring in one of the veterans I mentioned as interim coach thru the end of the year? Gives the coaches an out in case Buffalo is the bad place its made out to be. Gives the owners a chance to bring in their President of Hockey Ops or Advisor who can evaluate the team through the end of the season. The POHO, GMKA and the coach could then decide at the end of the year if it's a fit or not and what players should be added or subtracted etc.
  2. I'm not sure this is any different than we heard from KA in his presser besides some names. Wide open for business doesn't mean a complete overhaul of the roster. There is plenty of tradeable talent that should bring decent returns but its important that KA does his due diligence and doesn't just move players for the sake of moving them. If playing gritty is important like he says then start there, identify and acquire those type of players. First things first though, he should get a coach in here before the deadline and see if they can move the needle with these players. It's a short window but it could give KA a little more time to make some better trades.
  3. Right. I just wonder if KO has some kind of a deal with Pegs for one more year? I can't explain how he's in the lineup over the kids at this point.
  4. I would to. I'd send Sheahan with him since he was on a PTO anyways and they have Asplund or others to PK
  5. Serious question. Would a new coach bench or waive Okposo?
  6. 15-6 in 3 games...everything's fine, nothing to see here. Carry on coach.
  7. Skinner does have pep in his step Nice save by Sorokin
  8. They should be coasting into the neutral zone to stand still and get blown by for a scoring chance
  9. Isles didn't expect the Sabres to make a play, figured they would grind it in to the boards and turn it over
  10. Everything about that Islanders breakout resulting in Pollock shot was exquisite. Wow!
  11. Sigh, the whole Buffalo area thrives when their sports teams are doing well. The financial benefits would make up for any expenditures by the Pegulas. Lets GO Pegs!!!!
  12. I think Adams would get more from these guys as coach honestly and it would give him time and perspective to evaluate them in the room.
  13. I don't know who on the Sabres would stand in there and score like that
  14. Dahlin thinks the game differently is part of his problem JJ!!!
