  1. I think we are as hockey smart as any Canadian fan base. Sal Capaccio said he thinks Jack expected a love fest and couldn't believe he was booed instead.
  2. What in life is ever guaranteed? But that's why we watch these games and follow everything about the team. So we can assess for ourselves. Evander Kane happened.
  3. Not only that. They made sure those same media outlets would crap on them and take Eichel's side before the trade. Genius! 4D chess!
  4. This is a question of scouting. And whether a front office has the balls to say no to a player who is hailed as generational. Imagine if after the tank and losing the lottery, GMTM traded the pick? Did the Sabres scouts see this behavior before picking him but thought his skills were too good to pass up or that he could be coached to be a better person?
  5. I just wondered if you lived close enough to go to games and if you have.
  6. That's gold, Jerry. GOLD! That ranks right up there with Andrew Peters Leafs golf swing. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  7. Sabres were only outplayed in the 2nd period (16-3 shots for Vegas.)
  8. The thread title is incorrect. They are not part of the Instigators anymore. They are free of PSE.
  9. Lol. Obviously you're not a regular listener to their podcast. They are anything but Sabres shills. Gionta played with Jack. He didn't want to say anything but sometimes silence says a lot.
  10. After The Whistle just dropped: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-64-return-of-the-jack-with-brian-gionta/id1590573108?i=1000553725764
  11. It fuel for a certain kind of player.
  12. Good for you. The crowd sounded amazing. Not just the booing but reacting to the awful officiating. Most engaged I've heard a Sabres crowd be in a while. Gave me chills.
  13. Not the fact the two players traded for Jack scored? Not that Tuch scored off an Eichel turnover? Not that Eichel got blanked? It all mattered. Then add the comments. After all the choreography to make Jack look like the victim of the Sabres, he put a match to it.
  14. People compare Eichel to Josh Allen. The difference between the two is Allen was doubted his entire life and had to fight to get to where he is now. Jack Eichel was the golden child, the special case, always on elite teams, surrounded with the best cast. So being the guy with the pressure to lift a moribund franchise was too much for him. He didn't know how to respond because he was never in that situation. And maybe his character didn't lend itself to being the guy to lead. And that's not a knock. That's just being human.

  16. The Sabres needed last night to happen that way. Sabres win, players from the trade score, Eichel neutralized. But Jack's comments were the icing on the cake. That will, hopefully, put the Eichel saga to bed going forward.
  17. Rivet and Peters worked for PSE, not WGR. The Instigators and One Bills Live are PSE-produced shows. As for Rivet, here's what's funny. He was defending Jack fully on the pod that ran right before the game. Then he tweets that?? Talk about a one-eighty.
  18. Poor choice of words. More like an unplanned podcast.
  19. Andrew Peters said he and Craig Rivet were doing an emergency podcast tonight to discuss this topic. Will be up tomorrow I assume. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/after-the-whistle-with-andrew-peters-craig-rivet/id1590573108
