To have a coach practice in goal? Really? It happens all the time. You might not believe this but NHL teams have old college goalies dress just in case all the other goalies get sick or hurt. They're called "emergency backup goalies." I s##t you not.

That's the key word isn't it. To me sometimes is 10-12 times a game, max. To you sometimes is 20-30 times a game. If your goalie has to bail your team out more than 20 times a game, that's a clue that your problem isn't goaltending.

We can go round and round. Let's just leave it as we don't agree. You're married to stats. I watch every single game. I know how the Sabres are playing in front of their goal. You see a .700 sv%. I see a failure to hold the point resulting in a odd man rush, followed by a turnover under pressure in our end with an opponent parked by the crease unchecked, followed by lost face off with a shot tipped in because our D aren't moving players screening the goalie, etc. etc.

You rely on stats. I rely on what I see. The rank is definitely 3) Comrie 2) Levi. 1) UPL. But I think UPL has played above average.

I know this is your thing. The dead horse you like to beat on. But goaltending has been pretty decent this year, especially UPL.

My guess is they haven't figured out how to play defense while still scoring. So now they can't do either.

This is essentially a shutout loss. UPL kept you in it. You couldn't get one goal in play. One goal.
