The "most fancy" Church is St. Francis Xavier in uptown Phoenix......It compares nothing to the Catholic Churches in Buffalo where you can go "WOW" to the architecture of our older churches.

I miss the CBC broadcasts of the Olympics. I loved watching them back home....I can't get that here in Phoenix. I'm still trying to figure out what Directv gives me.

+1 Doan is the only reason hockey is viable in Phoenix. Even if many don't even realize here in Phoenix that we have an NHL team, they know Shane Doan. If there is a 1% chance the Yotes stay here, Shane stays here. If the ownership issues aren't resolved I would love him to be a Sabre. But, I would love to see him hoist the CUP most of all. This guy is a total leader and if he retires a Coyote I'm happy for him as he loves it here in the valley of the sun. If he leaves.....I want him to go to the best place he can get the CUP. Man, would I love him to be a Sabre, but he will forever be a Coyote.

I loved watching the Charlie Chan movies on the Sunday afternoon movie on channel 12. :)

At the high school I work at they show "The Birds" in class.

I love the "The Thin Man" series of movies starting around 36 and ending in the late 40's, 46 I think, starring William Powell as Nick Charles and Myrna Loy and Nora Charles. I named my dog Flynn after Errol and love anything he did in the 30's and 40's before he destroyed himself with booze and drugs. Love the Great Escape. One of my favorite movies of all time. Everytime a Sean Connery or Roger Moore "Bond" movie is on I'm there.

I would love for the Sabres to sign Doan. I just love him. I live in PHX and this man has led the team through all the crap with ownership and the lack of a hockey culture here in the desert. The man is a LEADER. Plain and simple. I would love him in Buffalo. If there is a fraction of a chance the Coyotes stay here so will Doan even if he takes a pay cut.

I listen to Gambo and Ash here in PHX and Gambo is a big time hockey fan and Shane has been on the show many times and the two seem really tight. I love Shane Doan and this is one guy I would love to see hoist the CUP. He is old time hockey. Toe Blake. I would love to see him in a Sabre uniform at any cost if it helps us get the cup. Doaner has big ties to the PHX community and if the ownership is settle he isn't going anywhere. But with so many idiots here in AZ there is a decent chance we can land him.

Watched him here in Phoenix and yes he started out strong, injured and after that afraid to be hit.

I love Doan. He is the MAN. I know if he leaves PHX then hockey is dead here in the valley. But...it's barely alive anyways.

On July 1 he becomes a UFA because of the lack of a qualifying offer from the Avs. I've watched him several times at Coyotes games and each time said to myself "this kid is going to be really good." Worth a look.

I've got two going now. One is Stolen Innocence: My Story of Growing Up in a Polygamous Sect, Becoming a Teenage Bride, and Breaking Free of Warren Jeffs by Elissa Wall. The other is Stephen Kings' 11/22/63 which so far is pretty good. One of his better ones imo.
