I like it when Buffalo starts playing chippy and instigating. They seem to skate better when they play with an edge and the other team seems to make lots of mistakes as a result. Can't wait to add Kassian to that mix.

Dump Stafford immediately. Put him on Waivers and if he clears cut him.

I still move Connolly to number 1, but agree Lalime should move on. Enroth is ready and who know Leggio could be ready for a stint if Enroth isn't. Rivet should coach. Think he would be great at it. Not sure about Grier and Niedermeyer. If it means that the Sabres add Adam and Kassian replace one of those two and either Hecht and or Connolly, I am all for it. But those two young guys probably coming up next year, I would keep one around.

Connolly blew another chance on that pathetic attempt from the point and when the D kept it in he took his sweet time getting up so that he was unable to help it deep. Lazy POS

I have NHL Game Center online with my cable hook up it is nice, I can choose RJ over the other teams pathetic announcers.

These Washington announcers may be the most brutal we've had to hear all year.
They haven't changed and still don't understand the game. The only one worse is Brickhead in Boston.

Agreed. But put Connolly on the bench. He is just watching the puck go around him. Unwilling to really stick his nose anywhere where it might get bent. Even on the shot he backed off right afterwards.

Maybe drop Connolly to the third or fourth line and promote Niedermeyer two number two and bring up Luke Adam again. Do not under any circumstances bring Stafford back unless he is going to play the fourth line with Connolly. Other than that stupid Penalty by Hecht, I thought he was the only one hustling on that line.
The Population of Pominville with a one was named Jocken... cause both Pommer and Connolly were on vacation.
P.S. Anyone know that status of Kaleta?

Wow! Both teams decided to skate including Vanek... Noice, but really why wait til overtime to turn it up...

Other than that spill behind the net in the 1st I thought Myers played OK. Montador and McCormick had great games I thought. McCormick and Vanek really distracted the Washington goalie tonight. We should've had someone parked in front of the net all night. It really seemed to bother that goalie. I thought Pommer played well also. And Connolly was useless as usual. I cringed every time he handled the puck on the blue line in OT.
Vanek always seems to get overshadowed by the league superstars. Especially Ovie. It was nice to see Vanek show Ovie how it's done for a change.
At least he didn't have his sole mate Stafford on the ice with him. It actually kept an even ice situation to half a man up.

Rivet is playing tougher than the rest of the forwards. Still the rest of them are not hustling into the corners. Two guys waiting for a rebound it bounces to the corner and those two guys just stand there and watch... Connolly and Stafford....I think.

Connolly is playing like this is pond hockey. Two guys come near him and he coughs up the puck. Someone should check to see if his tenders got snipped.

Ruff should have a hitting drill for the next practice with McCormick and Kaleta being the technique coaches. Anyone refusing to pass gets sent down. If they can't score at least they can hit.

I have an idea, send Connolly and Stafford down to the minors. If the don't clear waivers and someone claims them the Sabres could be rid of their contracts, if not they could sit on the bench down there. An idea.
