Watching Nylander last year live in the A twice and on the Sabres, I was interested to see how he was. He seems not to have found his linemates, but I noticed especially in the A guys running at him and not being fazed by it and his skating ability especially carrying the puck up ice was very good. Needs to let go of his shot more, but the guy can skate and is a lot bigger than his brother. I think if he finds the right linemates who are positive and that he trusts both on ice and off he will break out. It may mean a change of scenery, but I think the Sabres should give him a chance on the big club and see what he brings.

Probably the closest prediction to what actually happens unless there are some trades... any sense if trades among top 10 are likely or are anything else unexpected happening?

Depends on who goes after 4 and if a second D is selected before then.

I hear your concerns, but I think your timeline is overly pessimistic. Lets say Oloffson hits, that is one winger and likely, Thompson who knows, but he has moments where he looks the part. Weisbach could be a hidden gem and Roustalainen and I still think Nylander steps up. Sabres have 2 first rounders this year and betting they go forward on both. On top of which you have Laaksonen, Borgen, Hickey and Samuelson developing and all look like potential NHL D. So something will have to give on D and there is where the opportunity lies for improving sooner via the trade route. It may be 2-3 years, but not 5.

Just read a print out from my youngest son's teacher. He is special needs rare neuro disorder and has trouble typing words. But the print out said his favorite colors are blue and yellow. Trained him well.

Yeh after the first they tightened up a bit, also didnt seem to jam they net much after the first. Blues blocked a lot of shots especially in the third.

Still think Dhalin and Montour may work well together and McCabe always played well with Risto. Bring up Borgen and pair him Pilut and trade Scandella, Bogosian can replace the above if no market for him or keep when younger guys need teaching. Nelson is expendable use a trade and is a good soldier until Bogo comes back. I am against a Risto trade till new coach gets a hold of this D group. Laaksonen will be here following year so imo D is deep though not perfect. Dont make trade unless return is worth it, especially for Risto. Too much demand for high end D that appeared to be mishandled. His game when on imo is worth keeping in the right system.
