Here in lies the problem. The NHL acts like they want teams to police themselves. Then when a team like the Sabres starts doing it, they forget the established protocol and start hammering them with extra penalties. The NHL wants it both ways. It’s always been their problem.

The Sabres rarely get own goals. They just don’t put the puck in position enough. Other teams with muckers who just throw the puck at the net are much more successful than our crew of danglers.

I hate to break this to you, free agency and trades are still a thing. Not to mention Novikov and Johnson in the wings.

Looking over their lineup, no one really scares ya after Stutzle and Tkachuk.
