Sounds familiar (Skinner vs Krueger)

I know the deets. GMKA didn’t want to give up Kulich or Savoie. I’m good with not shipping either of them off but man the Sabres D is painfully thin. One injury to any of the top 3 and they are in a tough spot. Two injuries within the top 6. AHL D here we come. I guess just play Power and Dahlin 28 minutes each.

I still blame the Sabres more than butthole Harrington. He is a moron but the Sabres needed to do a better job guiding the kids not just letting them run free in the locker room.

Not his job… It was someone’s, maybe the director you mentioned. Sabres were awful for a long time at this stuff. Don’t know when this occurred but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was from a previous regime.

Does anyone know what the kid is supposed to do? Is there a Sabres handler with them. Feels like someone dropped the ball regardless of Harrington jackassery.

I agree. I feel like the casual fans will get led on by points percentage and if the Sabres lose their last couple and fail to get in, the casual can be like “Chad Deedee doodoo” told me they were in the playoffs. Fire Kevyn for not getting more points percentage.

I mean…I guess it’s a matter of perspective. Either fans are too dumb to understand points percentage or they are too lazy to look at the standings and figure things out for themselves.

I need the media to chill with the pts percentage nonsense. Not every fan is going to get it and they will assume the Sabres are in the playoffs.

They looked gassed. They’ve played an entire additional season with all their recent playoff runs.

Honestly, the type of D they need. More Samuelsson or Stillman than Power or Joki, can be had in any round of the draft or inexpensive in free agency. They have their studs. They just need to fill in complementary pieces. Ryan Johnson could be one.

He wasn’t good here. Had a few points but I’d expect a NHL vet to be more than a .6 pts per game player.

Savoie, Kulich, someone that brings anything other than a lethal PP onetimer. I could probably live with Victor’s limitations if he didn’t avoid contact like plague.

Yeah they should’ve shipped him off with his best bud. Preds probably didn’t want him tho. Replace him with Kulich and now we’re talking.

Fairly certain you can get away with whatever you like in the NHL if it’s under their dinsaur provisions.

If they send Kyle and Z to a contender? Not saying I’d like it but if Kulich and Savoie are ready next season…

I missed Marchand getting the initial penalty. Still glad Krebs gave it back and then some. Also glad Okposo jacked up Hathaway. And Stillman with several punishing hits. I thought the Sabres played tough and looked ok until the bs penalty on UPL. Everything fell apart after that.

The fact that Krebs out-Marchanded that big beak punk was glorious. Brad came up high in the head/neck area with a cross check, refs didn’t bother to call anything, Peyton immediately takes serious exception to it and gives it back x2. How long has Marchand been a thorn in our side? 10-12 years? Not once can I remember a player like Krebs so decisively act to give him what he gives out. Let alone give it back harder. Please bring in more players with this mindset. Too many years of players getting run and after the whistle shenanigans that are never responded to. Krebs is quickly becoming THE fan favorite.
