Wouldn't surprise me, TT has kind of been lumbering around for a little bit. He needs a fire lit under his butt and figure out how to counter the D strategies against him.

I like the optimism in this post. These guys are so good - and then they're not. Terribly frustrating. It's difficult to tell whether DG needs to alter his approach in coaching or if he needs to change his approach in who he selects to play. Mittelstadt needs to sit. Anderson can no longer play at the NHL level. The offense needs to be more defensively responsible. They need to make better decisions on passing. The offensive talent is there. Sigh.

Their said in an interview during a commercial break right after the no-goal that the only way to play the Sabres was to knock them around and get dirty in front of the net. That's exactly how they played the game.

DG: "What? Oops, I totally forgot I could do that."

Nashville's game has changed quite a lot since I last watched them play. They're really not good at the heavy style they're trying to play.

I think the Sabres ought to integrate a haka into their culture. And it needs to be done with the intensity these kids do it:

I figured it out: the only constant over the years has been Paul Hamilton doing post-game interviews. His passive-aggressive infantilization of the players traumatizes them over time. Paul Hamilton must be kept far, far away from this hockey team from now and forever.

We're young and make stubborn decisions. With a more mature team this game would have been won in the first. That and without the players who can't help but routinely make poor decisions.

There are players who do not understand what it means when told to "keep your game simple".

Josty is such a likeable fellow. Good for him.

Problem with having some talent on the team is that the ones with less talent think they can execute those cross-ice passes successfully at the same frequency.
