  1. I bet Peterka is the odd man out first, starting a rotation between he, Vinnie and VO. Vinnie hasn't earned being in that rotation, but he'll be in it none the less.
  2. The crowd at the game appropriately rewarding the team at the end of that period. Brings a tear to my eye.
  3. It's games like this that make me want to go see live hockey.
  4. The Sabres room has collectively decided they ain't taking s$#t on the ice any more. Can't wait for Greenway to get here.
  5. Jost, Clague, Mittelstadt. All reclamation projects under Granato. I think the improvement in those players speaks for itself. Jost has certainly provided insight into what was going on in Minnesota. As someone implied above, the high ceiling on Greenway could be 50pt guy who finishes checks. This was a good move.
  6. Very good observation. So, if fans on a forum can see that, then the room can see that. It'll be interesting to see how they respond.
  7. Are you trying to say I don't know my grit grades?
  8. That is the issue, though. If we're talking about covering for the loss of Jokiharju then doing so adequately isn't quite the challenge. The deficit, as you say, is pretty large when Dahlin is out and I don't think any team could really fill that gap. You're requesting KA create enough D depth to cover for the loss of Dahlin and I think that is a huge ask for any team.
  9. What team has the depth to cover for a talent like Dahlin?
  10. Not a knock on anyone, but every time I see Foligno mentioned in this thread I cringe. As far as sandpaper goes he was 1000 grit.
  11. I get the impression KA and Meatballs are developing a Ruff/Reiger type of partnership, which is good. The bonus here is that KA is willing to address the physical game in more than superficial manner.
  12. Another part of this trade, I'm sure, is KA simply building relationships. He gave Nashville "a deal" which could help when he's trying to work with them in the future.
  13. Exactly. We have players who can put it in the net. We needed players to make the net available and then get out of the way.
  14. Yesssssss. We get a guy who will fight fire with fire. As I've been noting all season, the only way for lesser talented teams to equal the playing field with the Sabres is to play dirty. Now we have a few players who can - and want to - bring the heavy. Very nice.
  15. Hockeybuzz + inflated expectant move = modus operandi
  16. OMG. I had always wanted to go there - looks so cozy sitting there along the creek. I figured since they had obviously been there years they knew what they were doing. Well, finally got there and everything was cold and flavorless. To add, the back porch was old and in desperate need of cleaning and repair. Huge disappointment. Huge.
