  1. That's why we watch hockey. I thought Foligno quietly had a very good game.
  2. Wow, what a sequence...!
  3. It IS tied 2-2 with 3.5 left to go.
  4. The passing looks good for the entire team.
  5. That was a lucky puck, that's what that was.
  6. Boooooo.
  7. Now that was a big save right there.
  8. The setup was perfect, he had to pass. Moulson was tied up by the defender at the right time, is all. Oops, looks like it was Moulson who had a "moment".
  9. Ullmark's post play and side-to-side movement are both fixable, especially since he's so young. That was just a young, rookie goalie mistake. The play that led to the goal notwithstanding.
  10. The James Spader of the NHL.
  11. OMG, so much to say... Impressive zone possession against a capable team. Instant chemistry between Eichel and Reinhart.
  12. Another assist for Jack Jack!
  13. You're being a kitty-daddy. It's okay.
  14. Haha, poor McGinn, we're more happy for Jack Jack.
  15. Eichel gets his first assist!
  16. WTH is it with the dump-ins. Samson needs to try and carry that puck to the net.
  17. Eichel must have skipped his morning coffee because his motor is not running as strong as the rest of the team. Or, at least it appears that way.
  18. I haven't looked, but his possession and turn-over stats must be...not good.
  19. ROR must be terribly frustrating to play against, especially when he's having a good game.
  20. Even with butter-fingers he was able to maintain possession. He's going to be a beast when he's 20.
  21. McCabe prevented a goal there by simply covering his man properly.
  22. Much better start. Fun game so far.
  23. Pull the goalie!
  24. You'll probably see that. His latest story arc was compelling. And, at first I thought they were done with Tom, but my wife wanted him back. I was like: "mmmmm...". Now that he's back, I'm glad. I've grown to like his character. This season's writing and pacing is top notch (in terms of keeping it interesting), and makes it easy to suspend disbelief. "Fun" is definitely the word for this show.
  25. That first line is a shut down line. The reason Gionta is there is because he's a vet, and all coaches lean on vets when they need to counter a line like the Sedin's line. I would rather Eichel be paired with Reinhart. The problem for Bylsma is that they're both rookies (effectively, in Samson's case). What we're seeing with these line combos is Bylsma's conservatism. I also think Bylsma might consider himself to be in a dilemma: all of his puzzle pieces aren't fitting together as smoothly as he had hoped. So, he's like an obsessed kid trying to make his Legos work for him. At least that's my interpretation of the constant line juggling. I think we might want to officially start figuring out who isn't fitting. My nominees are Gionta, Ennis, and Larson.
