  1. See...where is this team that we're watching right now usually? WTF?
  2. If there's any knock against Phil...if Booloo turns out to be what the Sabres need. Jeez.
  3. Spike's Magic 8 Ball says "most likely" on a Sabrez win. So there's that.
  4. So, I went to a few chatbot sites to see if they thought the Sabres would win. Even a purported psychic chatbot. Not a one of them understood the question.
  5. 80% of the conversations on this site are "whataboutism". This one is no less valid. If Phil and the coaching staff are making decisions based on flawed data and analysis then that fills in a lot of holes. Alternately, if Phil is getting accurate data and analysis, does he grasp it all or does it make his head spin? If so, then that fills a lot of holes, too. I think this might be slightly more important of an issue than it seems.
  6. You'd think that the Sabres' doctors, with the video of the hit and KO's behavior afterward, and the same access to Google medical advice as LGR, would have concluded that it was TOO DAMN SOON FOR HIM TO GO. Maybe I'm asking too much of people in 2019.
  7. So, what if the Sabres' analytics dept. is inept and feeds the coaches flawed data and analyses? What then?
  8. Interesting responses on Twitter, but this one echoes perhaps the most important question:
  9. "Dr. Joe Early" has to be one of the greatest TV drama names ever. Another fun fact: Troup wrote "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66".
  10. This thread desperately needs this to go along with the OP:
  11. No one is going to take the "necessary losers" from this team, but they might take the players that kind of keep the team going.
  12. This is where I am at with JBot: he should know by now which players need to be jettisoned. Obviously, whether he can get rid of them or not is a different matter. Also, I think you're right on the goalies. I think our goalies are actually fine players, both of them. Their numbers would be stellar if the team in front of them were predictably supportive. Doesn't matter how they acquired the players. We know they had it easy. The only point is that you CAN assemble a roster effectively over-night and have it work.
  13. Going back to the 10-game streak, just as much as it proved the players are capable of pulling out wins from behind, hanging on to win a one-goal game, it also proved that Phil could manage a game enough to make those things happen. Right. I'm sure he does make those demands. He says he does after every loss.
  14. Depends on the "him" you're referring to. Which him is him? Because you may be correct, depending. I don't know. Without saying "nothing", what is Sobotka good at statistically?
  15. Again, the WGR guys are in line with my point. What if Quenneville were coaching this bunch? I guarantee he would lose them faster than a blind guy looking for toilet paper in a Lowes. His gruff, manly style would reduce some of these players into puddles of person-hood.
  16. The team PLAYS soft because the PLAYERS ARE SOFT. Phil can't change that.
  17. God, I hope so. This has gone on long enough.
