  1. Not on his door, but the doors of family, yeah, that’s a distinct possibility. After all, the fascist authoritarian in charge has had his henchmen knock on doors for less.
  2. More than 100 bills in 23 states limiting LGTBQ rights have been proposed or passed. 23 states. Nearly half the Union. I’m saddened to say that the idea that “no govt. entity” is a threat to that community is just not true and never has been in our history as a nation.
  3. That’s never a sure thing with our sieves disguised as goalies.
  4. Like Saturday’s game. With no game until Friday after tonight, this might be a good time to sit him, regardless.
  5. I get why, but seeing Mitts at center again offends me.
  6. I fully support Boosh’s decision every bit as much as i support the rights of the marginalized to live their lives unencumbered by fear of recrimination for simply being themselves.
  7. Those clips were from the game day morning skate on Friday, his first day being eligible to participate with the team. The Sabres haven’t had a formal team practice since.
  8. He hasn't played in over two weeks and hasn’t had one formal practice with the team. Given that, I just can’t see it.
  9. There haven’t been any such incidents since Putin passed his first ant gay law in 2013. But Putin expanded the law in late 2022 and imposed heavier penalties for violating it so this is the first time Russian players would be wearing pride jerseys since then. Given Putin’s penchant for throwing people in jail, especially lately, Russian player concerns are understandable. They have families back home, Putin is a nut job, and they know it.
  10. To be fair, there’s a very real chance that some Russian players could be put in a precarious position given the laws enacted by everyone’s favorite fascist, Vladimir Putin.
  11. Yep. He’s gonna Wally Pipp UPL and Comrie. But as @Porous Five Holesaid earlier, he has had zero formal practices with the team, just a morning skate on Friday and it’s likely the coaches wanna see him in practice a few times before throwing him in there, which makes a ton of sense. That said, Levi is already the best goalie on our team given the atrocious net minding we have seen the majority of games this year.
  12. That’s always been a great irony around these parts.
  13. Damned if he didn’t do just that.
  14. I think you nailed it here.
  15. Is that the speech Donny G should give the boys; that we aren’t making the playoffs unless we run the table so we might as well start Devon against his hometown team to make it special? If it were up to me, I’d start Levi because he is already the best goalie on the team and gives us the best chance of winning.
  16. I think its lack of poise more than anything. A better play is usually there to be made if they’d just take a half tic to see it.
  17. Are these ESPN announcers the regular play by play announcers for the Islanders?
  18. ESPN wasted no time washing the Isles’ nutsacks the entire pregame. Not even trying to hide their favoritism.
  19. Looks like I’m forced to make a retraction. Apologies, Meatballs.
  20. It occurs to me that every time Donny G says there’s a good chance an injured player will play, he’s full of crap.
  21. Lundell deserves a stick shoved down his throat for what he did to Dahlin last time we played them.
  22. I’ll see what I can dig up, but I got my initial info from the Pew Research Center. If you want, just google “What percentage of Americans want a theocracy” and you’ll find info as well. To be fair, there are religious groups pushing back on this movement as well. What I’m most concerned about is the inherent blindness to the threat. To wit, even though they admit it’s against the Constitution, it’s still ok. I mean, WTF? Anyway, I hope even this little bit hasn’t disrupted the thread. My apologies to the forum if it has.
