Of all the countless examples of teamwork McDummy could have offered up and then choosing the terrorists responsible for the deadliest attack on our soil in the history of our nation as the example is beyond the pale. Ironically, few of the players he addressed in the room that day have a strong living memory of the event itself and as such they can’t really relate to the gravity of the attack on 9/11/2001. McD is dummer than I thought.

Been complaining about our lack of poise in the D end all season. Too many un-poised, unnecessary panic plays, especially by our D when if they’d just take an extra half tick to make the calm, simple play they’d get out of trouble. Dahlin is really the only guy we have who does this more often than not.

If these idiot D men would take a half tick to make the better play, that goal doesn’t happen. It’s maddening how unpoised our players are. Nothing but panic at critical times.

Agree entirely. When the players in that room decide en masse that they absolutely despise, detest, abhor, hate, and refuse to accept losing, then and only then will there be any meaningful turnaround. But they appear far too comfortable and content with simply earning a nice living in the NHL. Reminds me of the time Bogo, when the team was in the midst of a losing streak, saw fit to remind the guys they shouldn’t be so miserable because they were in the NHL and things could be much worse. That is the essence of a loser mentality and it still festers in that locker room.

Yeah, and if Jordan Phillips doesn’t commit a personal foul on a 4th down play that would have allowed the offense to take a knee in victory formation, then Godwin is never in that position in the first place. We can play the woulda, coulda, shoulda game all day. But it’s a futile discussion to have.
