That’s all well and good, but I still don’t put any stock in it. Good (read playoff) teams usually identify themselves early on in the season anyway, so it’s no surprise when they end up making the playoffs. Ironically, I can recall a time in the not so distant past when the Sabres went on a 10 game unbeaten heater, were sitting in a playoff spot on Thanksgiving, and then proceeded to screw the pooch as usual.

I put ZERO stock in the Thanksgiving stat. The Blues were in last place in the league in January the year they won the cup.

As the saying goes, everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. I’ll believe it when I see it.

5 points in the six games he’s played, with last night the only game he didn’t find the scoresheet. He’s been paired with Kulich and Rosen and I’d say he certainly looks like he belongs.

Kulich is nasty.

Having also watched them this season, I agree entirely that he’s a work in progress defensively, especially in his own end. Same with Rosen and Savoie. The young prospect with the best 200 foot game is Benson, imo.

You give the Sabres more credit than they’re worthy of because I doubt they can keep it that close playing their third in four nights and the second of a back to back. There’s always the possibility of Levi stealing one but with the bums playing in front of him, that seems like a remote possibility at best. 7-1 Leafs as Okposo scores a less than meaningless goal in the final minute to avoid the shutout. These guys have their pride, after all.

That’s the stark reality, but there are many reasons to get behind and continuing to be a fan of the team as we’ve been since their inception and perhaps the biggest driver of that is hope; the belief, the faith that our day will come. That is gone now. Just too tired of the lip service, the corny letters to the fans, and the sheer stupidity of it all. Lousy players, lousy coaches, and lousy management can only get you so far.

Damn. Another one of my suspicions confirmed. On a positive note, already sold my tix for the Bruins game at far above ticket price. Bruins fans are more than willing to shell out bucks to watch a superior hockey team. It’s kind of weird as we’ve never sold our tickets before, let alone to opposing fans. And I don’t feel the least bit bad about it. As a fan since they spun the wheel for Gilbert and a STH for decades, if anyone feels the need to tell me what a disloyal fan I am, they can just go screw themselves.

These fragile waifs have ZERO chance tonight unless Levi flat out steals the game. Time to face reality: this team sucks.

There’s always a lot of hockey left in the season with these guys. Right up until there’s no more hockey left in the season for these guys. Same sh!t, different year.

Looking forward to selling my season tickets to the highest bidders as the season goes on. Unfortunately, home fans won’t be very interested in watching this trash, so it’ll be opposing fans most nights I guess. And I don’t feel the least bit bad about it, either. I don’t owe this team a damned thing. They’ve gotten their pound of flesh over the past decades so they can all go phuck themselves.

All the more reason to send them back.

What I’m witnessing is the best reason to send Benson and Savoie back to juniors. Get them away from this crap.

Can’t have Granato messing with such delicate states of confidence. These guys are such fragile little waifs after all.

Nice to have Toker back. I couldn’t take another night of watching Cooley.

Tuberville is an abject moron and ignoramus. Who can forget his masterful grasp of our system of government when he declared the three branches were the House, the Senate, and the Executive. And while it’s concerning that unqualified idiots like him, MTG, Boebert and others get elected to office, they are only a symptom of the electorate that puts them there. And that is downright scary.
