No. Just confident that intentionally going in to not one, but two seasons,... TWO,... Jesus,... with the intent of losing the most games in the league, was not the way to fix it. I said at the time that even after the Tank we then need a rebuild, so why not just rebuild. No, no, no, the only way out of this is to tank. It’s the only way to get top end talent. And now we’re parsing different stages of the Tank to say this part worked but this part didn’t. Talk about revisionism.

My answer is then, "We couldn't be any worse and we wouldn't have been subjected to 2+ years of record-settingly bad hockey followed by 6+ more trying to climb out of the talent hole created by the Tank." If the tank was from the trade deadline until the end of the season, sure, go for it. But it was more than 2 years. Let me say that again, to remind myself it actually happened, we tried to lose for over 2 years,... Jebus.

I do remember Jack getting the only penalty because the other guy never dropped his gloves. Yes. They didn’t score, but it did elicit an emotional response. I was happy, too. Then a bunch of people told me I shouldn’t be and called me a boomer (of which I am not.)

When he cheapshotted your captain, he knew whatever came next was his fault. I give you permission to be guilt free. Every time I got my ass whooped, while angry at first, upon reflection, I deserved every bit, and am angry that I didn't realize it real time.
