  1. The way I look at it is that the team that put that win streak together was expected to have a pretty good season and it all ended up being a mirage. Some people are traumatized and figure there's no way things won't fall apart here. But...

This current roster wasn't expected to win anything. Not expected to be competitive in any way. The fact that they are is almost beyond belief. Which in my opinion makes it all the more real.

This team should not even be capable of putting themselves in the situation of falling apart; it should have started on day one.

    Heard his name called twice.

When he laid a nasty hit on the boards right behind Anderson.

When he cleared the puck on the 4 on 3.

If your a defenseman playing Tampa and that's it.... then your playing very well.

I looked up his stats on the season and the guy is getting 70% d-zone starts and is handling it well. Better corsi numbers than Risto ever managed.

Right now, the insurance company holds all liability. Terry will be receiving his payment soon if he hasn’t already. Now, Terry on Monday can decide that he wants to take all liability. He can cancel Jack’s insurance policy and tell him good luck in the OR. However, I’m never going to fault a business owner trying to maximize his/her profits. So, going against insurance’s advice would be a very poor business decision. This is what Jack’s agents are trying to do.

However, for Jack, he is going about this as a business decision as well, when in fact it should be a personal decision. He’s the one with the broken body. He’s the one who’s going to have to live with any consequence of surgery. Therefore, he should do what is best for his long-term health. But, his mind is being clouded by $50M reasons. I don’t blame his agent for doing what is best for their interests, but where are Jack’s parents in all this?

    Jack's parents? What?

Guy wants his money. That's all there is to it. If he didn't want to get paid he could just get the surgery and wipe his hands clean of this entire chapter of his life.

Greed is the wrong word to use here, imo, as I’ve never heard it used to describe someone protecting their interests. The Pegulas aren’t look to gouge anyone here, nor are they looking to profit off the situation. Don’t see where greed applies at all here.

Lots of people just want to Pegulas to be the villain all day every day.

Agreed. Dahlin is a great skater, but he is not a fast skater.

The most notable thing about his skating isn't really his skating, but that his reaction time is much better this year. His biggest problem last year was the way he would get burned making mistakes because he was slow to react. He's not getting caught this year, and it makes his skating less of a point of contention.

One thing is for sure, we just lost 4-1 and no one in here is that upset or ready to trash the team.

We said coming into the year if we worked hard and showed pride through 60, that would indeed be a giant step in the right direction. We are 3-1 and we've been averaging 35 shots a game and doing it with some speed and skill as well.

Expectations are so low that pretty much anything that looks better than the tank teams is going to escape much criticism.
