Well that was an entertaining period of hockey even with the regular faux pas we have been accustomed to seeing with this team. Phil even tried to sneak Jack on the ice with Casey. I can look forward to seeing some of these kids grow together.

So we finally have our Three Horsemen. First there was Samson taking on these Philistine teams, but then he cut his hair. Second we got the Jack, until he jacks up his ankle. Now the Third, the mighty Casey is with us, may he NOT strike out. Must see TV for me. I am curious what those 3 would look like as a top line playing together... Please Phil can you give us a little look at that somewhere in these last 6 games.

I am not sure they ever unpacked it be able to say they are now packing it in. Not sure what’s wrong with this mess but something is totally whack. They played better and scored more w/o jack and our top player comes back and they get worse, that’s whack. Phil said something that caught my attention post game, about respecting our goalie more based off horrible defensive play and getting beat to the lanes. Some have suggested Robin is not liked by his team and I have to really wonder how many of these guys really like each other and truly care about “the team”. When I keep hearing all these coaches and players saying similar things around play for each other, respect the team, hold each other accountable, blah, blah, I have to assume this team epitomizes dysfunctional. This is hockey hell.

Yes that's how it appears but that is back a$$wards to me and I don't understand why they would do that. Yes are they are expecting him to do it all ? I have to wonder, is that something Phil is preaching or these players just doing that ? There never was a successful one person team and there never will be. They need to figure this out and the coaches should be helping them do that.

Well if your going down that line of thinking, the overall scoring for the whole team is off since Jack got back. Is it me or does it appear we get too many passengers on the team deferring, waiting and watching him play. Maybe we do not have enough skilled players that can anticipate what he is doing or keep up. I dunno but I don't like it if its becoming a pattern.

I rooted for them to win for 2/3 of the season and they lost more than won. I followed what appeared to be the majority of the thread yesterday and rooted for them to lose and they won. Whats left except rooting for them to go to OT/SO for the rest of the season? :P Oh and yes I am completely happy with the win and only 1 point because at this point why not be happy with the lower draft seed when we see how much talent we still need. Agreed, we are seeing some players step up, others digress and some stay the same and that is what I continue to watch for in these remaining games. I really don't and can't root for them to lose but if I can rationalize it to a better future then it makes the wild swings in play and results easier to continue to watch. Last like several other's here have said, please, pretty please continue to play spoiler for the remaining playoff teams they face and especially Toronto... Now that's something they can look back at and build on for the team and players that are still here this time next year.
