  1. Only if he doesn't make a single save in the SO would it be poetic justice..... Yes awfully good and was the best defense man on the ice.
  2. Well, another day, another game and chance at redemption. Still very disappointed in that last Bruins game. Not so much that they lost but more about how and at the after game comments of several players and coach. I can't fathom they thought they really played a good 60 minutes and Boston got the bounces. That's not what I saw especially in the 3rd period and OT. Boston out worked them for their chances. I want to see a team that absolutely loathes losing and realizes that they have to match or out do the other teams compete level. Stop looking for the pretty passes and plays and lets keep it simple. Go to and get it on the net, play more in the other teams zone, clear the front of the net in yours and finish your checks. That's my New years wish for this team. Let's go Buffalo. Show us you understand what it takes to win.
  3. Yes finally. I would have liked him to have practiced with the team before his first game. I don't understand the last minute call up since this has been an obvious need for some time. I just hope he is given enough of a chance to find the best combinations for that 2nd line
  4. These Sabres are trying to be fancy. Boston the better team in the 3rd period and OT in our house. We let them take the 3rd when we had the lead at home. These lost points are going to hurt as this season plays out..
  5. Wow, who is responsible for our PP. He should be fired.
  6. wow, Boston out chanced us that 3rd period.. Ok lets take this in OT.
  7. Ok that skate on skate was dirty to Samson. Thats' Marchand level.
  8. Tight game. Exchanging chances. Come on boys 1,2 we want 3..
  9. Just need to outwork these B's for 1 more period to win.
  10. I liked that 2nd period. Thank you Sir may i have another. Tight game.. Lets win the 3rd.
  11. Nice Penalty kill, first shortie, and playing hard. Still keeping us on the edge of our seats. Hockey is fun when its like this..
  12. So here we are. Time to see what this team is made of. There is enough tape out there now so teams are not surprised by the Sabres anymore. I believe the blueprint goes something like this, Shut down our top line; there is very little to no secondary scoring, play us physical; we shy away more than initiate, Capitalize on our mistakes; because we will make them when we press. We have not been getting the lights out goal tending from Hutton we got before he was injured. Ullmark started to show signs and was my choice for the St Louis game but is he out now ? This Sabres teams pressing style needs very strong goal tending and defensive play to succeed going forward. The hardest part of their season is coming up now and if they can't meet and or exceed every other teams compete they are playing I expect more Blues games than Ducks. Let's go Buff-a-lo show us and the rest of the league the first half was not a fluke..
  13. Zizzzzz, Zizzzzz, Zizzzzz, Zizzzzz Hark the harold, sawing I hear, jinxing our pre-new year... I hope that limb wasn't too High up. ?
  14. Yeah I liked ROR but his end of season interview high lighted what was wrong with that team and no denying he was a big part of that. i'm sure he is bringing his "A" game. I just hope that our team is bringing theirs. Because I do believe we are the better team if we play our game. We are going to need a solid game from our goalie and D. Upon further reflection of last several games, I think I would be okay with starting Ullmark tonight since he actually has played better his last couple of outings than Hutton. And I expect St Louis to know how to beat and be pumped to face their old team mate.
  15. Nice article. Like how he doesn't like losing and knows he had problems hiding it. ""When hockey's good, I'm probably a better person," he says. "When hockey's bad, I'm a little bit bitter and pissed off.... [But I've learned] it's important to worry about being a good teammate, making sure your relationships stay strong through poor times, especially at the rink" I also found this quote interesting "When things were bad, everyone distanced themselves from one another,” he says. “We weren't able to build those relationships that we wanted. I think we took some good steps this summer, and it translated." pretty much sums up the issues with a ZFG TM assembled team. “O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done, The team has weather’d every rack,.... and finally we are one....
  16. Christmas break is over and back to most wonderful Hockey. I am guessing Hutton in against his old team. Win this one and we can get back to putting together another winning steak. Let's go Buff-a-lo! Must win, do not want to suffer the Blues tonight.
  17. Merry Christmas SabreSpacer's Thanks for the thread Eleven..
  18. Here Ye, here He, All hail the charts?️
  19. I am not sure that's not just a little too many Tim Hortons Doughnuts because I still don't see him playing fast, thinking or executing on the ice. And i also hear a lot of people talking about execution on the ice of 2nd and 3rd lines and my response to that is "the way they have been playing I'm all in favor of it".
  20. Weird schedule playing Washington again in their barn in less than a week. Washington lost Wednesday at Home vs. Pgh so i expect a cranky Wash team. It was a very physical game. Not going to be easy but it can be done if we are hard on the puck but will also take some seriously good goal tending. Other teams behind us winning and closing the gap so getting close to being a must win. Oh and no injuries allowed before Xmas break. Lets start this weekend off right and cap the Caps.
