So you were prepared to lose Drury, Briere and Vanek in one offseason?
After we lost Drury and Briere it didn’t matter, this team needed the restart, we weren’t gonna replace those 2 centers with what we had, and over a decade later we still have not. Lol. This team is abysmal and depressing, and that day was the start of it all.

Just stopped in to say hi, just read the last few posts to see I didn’t miss a thing once again. Keep up the good.....I don’t know how to finish that sentence🤪

Welcome back, even if it is only to vent.
Thanks, I miss the long posts, discussing the team, I wish they were worth the time. They made me really bitter, and that sucks.

At this point the way this team has been run for the past 12 years, if they left, I wouldn't miss them one bit. It has been so long since they played a game that mattered, or for that fact, a game they played like they cared, goodbye. All they do is put me in a bad mood when I watch them. They pretty much stole thousands of my hard earned money, while I supported them with season tickets for too many years, while falling for the " they will be ok" status. Screw them. Had enough, I would only miss the time spent with my son's, and friends going to the games when they tried. Since they don't from the top on down, hell with them.

I love this board, I used to post all the time, had season tix forever, but the Saber's sucked the life out me even caring, how can anyone watch their games at all? I feel for you guys. I just come on here to check the score, and there is this little spot left in my soul hoping that they are winning, so maybe I might turn the game on...All I have read so far is disappointment, hope, the same crap I felt since we watched our 2 co-captains walk in 06. Keep the faith for the rest of us who have none left.LOL

Born in the USA is certainly among his weaker efforts but the title tune is enough. A story of the American dream turned into demise. It’s quite apt for today’s cultural climate. His music tells the story of America and the American plight.
Cheech’s “Born in the East LA” was better than that turd of a song. Lol

I doubt it happens, the owners rely on attendance for a majority of the revenue. It is simple business, without revenue how can they keep putting out a product?

Exactly this.
Correct sir. That was the 2nd most ridiculous front office move the Sabres achieved.

Best: Beating the Leafs to goto the Finals.
Worst: The loss to the Pens in game 6 the following yr.

They should have an ammendment to the expansion draft. If you havent made the playoffs in 7 years or more yoir team is exempt. We wouldnt lose a soul..lol

I still don’t understand how Mogilny is not in. He has the numbers and his story of opening up the NHL to the Russians it self should warrant induction on its own.
This is a joke. He should be in. Zubov????

Oh. Oh god. This is an all-time bad take.
Kill me now.
No, just buy season ticks like i have for the past umpteen years and watch his effort. Then you can say kill me now like I have walking out of the Arena before the second period ends most nights. For the crap we went through to get him it sure hasnt been worth it.

Yeah I'd trade anyone this side of Dahlin, even though I'm not his biggest fan, for Horvat. That includes Jack. Bo may not have the skill Jack does but I like his game profoundly more than our saviour's.
I agree on the Eichel sentimemt. I have always thought he was too big for his britches. I do not like his effort. He plays hard way too little for my liking. I would hope we would get more than Horvath but ya never know

Let him walk...He disappeared when the team needed him. He aint worth 8.5 mil a yr....cya

This team continues to make every decision worse than the previous. All I can do is laugh. Too bad the Buffalo Stallions arent still around.

My lasting memory will be, the fact I wasted another 5 Grand for the year on a roll of toilet paper named the Buffalo Sabres. It won't happen again for a very very long time....

Navy boy, only one stint, civilian life is better.
I appreciate the fact that we appreciate our vets, my father was in Vietnam and he came home to a much different situation. But the veteran stuff in sports is nauseating, @LGR4GMI don't know if i could do it man, the whole song?!
Im a retired Marine, I wouldnt mind if they stopped the anthems before everygame. Save it for something special. To me hearing it at every sporting event waters down the value of it.

What JBOT does with this waste of space will go a long way in determining if he knows what he is doing
The problem with that is he brought the waste of space here in the first place. I have zero confidence in the Sabres at all anymore. I will not be renewing my season tix this yr. Very frustrating form of entertainment. Our Stanley Cup final is the draft lottery now. What a freaking waste...
