They traded away a guy who was headed to free agency. They have no control at that point over where he signs. If a team is worried about that kind of stuff, they've got serious issues. That's the least of your concerns when you're trying to improve your team. If you're legitimately concerned about a playoff matchup, you do exactly what they did and send him off to the other conference. This one is such a crazy fluke scenario that no one is ever going to plan for. Hell, there still no guarantee of a Dallas-Colorado matchup. I just want to try to have a discussion for once where we don't have to inject the sabre fan depression. It's good for the heart.
