Makes perfect sense if he doesn't place much value on keeping the puck out of his own net and a ton of value on getting the puck in the other net & things like straight line forward skating. Samuelsson will excel at the former but have issues with the latter 2. Cool thing is, what he brings is something the Sabres really need.

THAT'S how you're keeping your skis attached this year?!? Day-um, you take that sport way more seriously than we realized.

Hey, hot dogs and beer worked for Babe Ruth. Why not Phil too?

As of this AM Puckapedia (former NHL Numbers) didn't have that listed. (Thus the "apparently.") 🍺

Probably even longer than that. This is what a prospect pool looks like when you sell off your top players for prospects & picks & don't immediately turn around and trade those away.
-
Yep. And apparently w/out any NMC/NTC. So the contract should be relatively easy to move if necessary.

Can not even begin to imagine the pain you are feeling right now. Your son was the same age as mine are now and the thought of what you are going through is devastating. So tremendously saddened at your family's loss.

Annual expectations thread 2022/23: #20 Lawrence Pilut

It's possible, but 13 & 8 makes practices run much smoother. Really expect them to primarily go w/ that for that reason. -

Expect him & Fitzgerald to be the 7 & 8s. If one of the other tweeners passes him for pressbox duty, expecting he'll be an AHL All Star. -
Never did forgive us for burning down their city 210 years ago. They burned ours down in retaliation & it was, yeah, whatever. We're all good. 150 years from now we'll have real football not some 12 man 3 down abomination.

That's what you say now. Bur we know you'll randomly schedule an emergency trip to Albania for coffee the weekend we choose. We're wise to your games. 😉

In fairness, both Dahlin & Reinhart were pushed down the road when ownership didn't know if they were wealthy but cash poor or just ridiculously wealthy. Turned out to be the latter. Personally, would like to have seen Olofsson get a longer deal, but thought that was a minority opinion. As for Thompson, is he willing to go long term before playing out his contract year? Takes 2 to tango and his actual future value might have the largest standard deviation of any player to ever wear B&G (including all of the Preds & Blues too). Could see where he's confident enough in himself to not risk being relatively on as great a value contract as he currently is. This next off-season will be our 1st opportunity to see if LT contracts are his post-1st round CHLers. Doubt they are, but until they aren't, they may be.

The BEST part of the Heritage Classic was Bissonette's meltdown. Consider the source indeed.

The Sabres did Offer Johan Larsson a Contract per Riley Sheahan
Taro T replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
A slight tweak to your tweak. Last season, overall was fun. The December / January doldrum wasn't much fun, but it wasn't as bad as in the past & October & the last 2 months completely overshadowed the rough ones. If Comrie can be adequate, this year will be fun. Not necessarily productive but after the last decade will take "fun" with hints of "better days" to come. -
Multiple Goat Heads For Jerseys in 2022-23 Season?

Then again, maybe the sweaters logos won't be that washed out after all. Though for the love of all that's good and holy, why a yellow eye & not a bloodshot one? Edit: Upon further review that might just be the shoulder patch from the blue butterknives. -

Had mentioned on another site that the version on the T-shirt looks like the white balance on the TV is off and everything bled white. Pretty sure that was the same thing they did to the new version of the B&R vote as well. The old one was too "complex" IIRC the criticism/rationale. Am still planning on getting one (maybe a 25, or possibly going old school w/ a 44 in the colors he should've worn more than just his 1st year or 2 in Buffalo) provided the pattern on the sweater still turns into a buffalo head w/ the arms positioned just right. -

1st off, they won't all hit. But fully expect a better hit rate than we saw during the "video scouting" era. 2nd, they'll keep the top ones & then as many of the lesser as fits into the salary structure. The rest get traded for futures that theoretically extend the window out another 3+ years. If Adams plays his cards right, this team could get to a playoff streak as long as the current drought. (And if he doesn't, his successor should have a relatively awesome foundation to work with.) And those not moved for futures can be moved to shore up then current weaknesses. -
If one of the leagues has an opening next year, will likely like to get back in. But right now just don't have time for a fantasy league. The pick 'em & suicide combined take all of 15 minutes a week. If that.

Well, if they didn't continually underestimate demand they really would be. Terry, show us on the Turdburger where that mean Mr. Black hurt you. -

That makes sense. Especially if Sheahan wanted to be in Buffalo it wouldn't take too long to have worked out a deal with him. They both knew ballpark what he's worth. It also reinforces the idea that Sheahan has the inside track to 4C as that definitely would've been Larsson's role. -

Forkin' awesome. Can finally get the Shatanic Goathead in its proper colors and glory. Make it in royal blue & then the Sabres have the makings of the perfect full set of "kits." The current home & away with white b&g butter knives as a white alternate/3rd & the blue goatheads as the dark alternate. Perfection. -

Annual expectations thread 2022/23: #24 Dylan Cozens
Taro T replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
This. Further complicated by the likelihood of whether he ends up 2C, 3C, or W will be dictated by how well Mittelstadt & Krebs play in TC / out of the gate and whether Granato wants to primarily run w/ well balanced lines across the board or more traditional lines. Figure he'll get at least 40 points but doubt he cracks 60. But whether it's 42 or 56 will come down to his role & who his linemates are. Expecting he'll get 2PP usage, but if he can supplant Mitts or Skinner on the top unit that would also help towards 50.
