Yeah, I'm not going to fault anyone for blowing a call in real time that took frame-by-frame analysis to show what actually happened. I will blame them for not acting on that frame-by-frame when it conclusively shows that they were wrong.

3:38-3:58. Watch at 0.25x speed. Still glad it didn't matter. Edit: ESPN wants it played in YouTube.

Ugly win, especially that super-sack (runner up was giving up outside runs for huge yardage.) Game should have ended on the fumble, though. The first angle wasn't conclusive about the timing of Poyer's hand, but the second one was. Three frames: (1) knee on ground, (2) knee off ground without hand touching, and (3) hand on back. They went forward and backward a couple of times on it; there was no doubt. Glad it ended up not mattering, but I think the ref didn't want to decide the game.

I'd take Taysom Hill for a backup QB. Not because he's a starter-quality backup (he's decent), but because of everything else he could bring when Josh is still in the lineup. One of my favorite players in the league. (Note: Not saying he would be available. Just dreaming.)

Doink! Doink! And the Jaguars make it a game.

Already 17-0 and the Colts have the ball. Probably ... and I'm just guessing here ... not feeling too hopeful right now. ð

When they had Barkley warming up and then put Josh back in, one of the commentators said, "why not?" Me: Uhhh ... ðĪ ... that's why not!
 -
Yeesh, remind me to never do stats when I'm in a hurry. Tweaks the numbers slightly, but the point still holds: Josh has put up better passing and rushing numbers, despite having faced better defenses.

May I recommend amending the thread title to include the new "SS Thirds" theme. Otherwise, someone who came into the thread early might not know that there is a third choice.

Good catch. ESPN just has "Los Angeles" with little team logos. My bad. Here's the adjusted table. Bills still faced harder pass defenses (left), but they also faced harder run defenses (right), at least on average: . In addition to having more yards passing, Allen has 3x as many rushing yards, and his 8:4 TD's:fumbles ratio is better than Rodger's 3:3. Certainly, Allen should at least be in all of the Rodgers vs Mahomes MVP headlines.

Yes. That's what "here" referred to. As I said, I don't think my issue with the Away (white) skin is actually contrast, but rather brightness of the white. The light blue background fixed that, but the resulting reduced contrast made the text less sharp and harder to read. By adjusting the fourth argument in the hsla() function from 0.7 to 0.8, the contrast went back up (actually higher than the original), making the text easier to read.

That's almost identical to #eef2f5, so it works for me. I just searched for "light blue hex" and "blue gray hex" for mine. I like the colors, but I'm starting to think that contrast isn't the problem with the light theme. Rather, it's simply about how bright the white is. I say this because the text does seem a little washed out with the light blue here and on the Contrast Ratio screen. However, when I change the text color from hsla(200,0%,0%,.7) to hsla(200,0%,0%,.8), the text stands out more due to the higher contrast (11.71!), which I find easier to read. ðĪŠ Never thought about all of this before. I just knew that I couldn't read websites that use white text on black backgrounds (or any other similar combination) for more than a few seconds. Thanks for doing this.

It doesn't take much to take the edge off of bright white (8.52). Of your choices, #eee (7.95) was the best, but I actually preferred #f2f2f2 (8.09). Similarly, a light blue such as #eaf0f3 (7.99), #e4f0f6 (7.95) or #eef2f5 (8.07) is pretty nice on the eyes. As I said, I like what's in the quote boxes.
 -
Using Net Expected Points per Drop Back: Bills' average rating for opponent is about what the 7th-best defense put up, while the Packers' average rating for opponents is about what the 22nd best team put up.
 -
I can't read light text on dark backgrounds for more than a couple of minutes. When I do, I see lines of "ghost text" floating around very quickly. I prefer the light. Of course, that's not the best for the eyes either - too bright. Actually, the light blue inside the quote boxed would be a good choice for that.

They should have a contest to find the 7,000 loudest, most raucous Bills fans.
 -
I hope they have a garbage time opportunity over the last two games to get Dawkins another one. He's had one each over the last two seasons.

What was the distance between the crowd and the team?
 -
"So, Matt, how was the game tonight?" "Literally every time I touched the ball, it ended up in the end zone." ð
 -
The original pass was to the 31 with the receiver getting to about the 32. They then dropped back to the 10, got back out to the 23, went back to the 3, and got as far as the 10 before going out of the back of the end zone for the safety. 42 yards loss from the furthest point. Impressive, really. I wonder how many gamblers lost more from throwing something at the TV than they did on the original bet ...

Count me in on the 'hates the all red uniforms' crowd. Reminds me of some teams in Cooperalls:
 -
Well, four down ... just needs the Browns to win tomorrow to clinch a playoff berth.

	Looking more like 10-9.
