I didn't mean you were culturally elite, I meant the joke was written by one. Albeit making fun at the expense of what you are defending. But that's a different debate. I'm only trying to bring levity to grammatical errors about prepositions. Not taking sides on whether or not it should be discussed on Sabre Space. My wife teaches composition and I have to send her all my briefs going to Senior executives because I know she will catch any of my grammatical mistakes. But my 100+ emails a day to others with whom I work could be speckled with errors and it doesn't bother me.
Just subscribe to Grammarly if it’s concerning.

Errors in grammar, syntax, etc. don't really have the power to annoy me here.
Bad takes, on the other hand. Those can get me going.
There was a poster who used to visit here - can't recall their name - the poster's "voice" suggested they were an older man from rural Ontario (?). Possibly someone with indigenous heritage? Their spelling, grammar, etc. were ... nonstandard, to say the least. But their hockey takes were interesting as hell.
Millbank?

Maybe I should sit outside his house and plan to beat/kill him. Would that be more in line with your masculinity Hank?

Both are colloquially used, including on broadcasts.
OK Dunning-Krueger. 🙄
There is an onside and there is an offside. There are no multiple sides that are off. It is unequivocally singular. It’s cringy. You hear it from dumb jocks on broadcasts because they barely got out of high school. Then the public repeats it. It’s the same exact scenario in football where they say a team has a +10 turnover ratio when it’s actually a differential. Both are grossly incorrect and repeated incessantly by dumb ex-jocks.

Jost did have one, it was just offsides...again.
offside. Singular.

This probably applies to STHs that sell 100% of their games.

I'm going to stop commenting on individual games this year I think. You can be excited by the win, but this is the late season illusion we get. Edmonton was absolute garbage today compared to what I saw when they played Boston a few nights ago. They got the quick one and fell asleep. We had another in the long list of low event games. This was so low event their "hit of the game" segment was about goal posts, because they couldn't find a solid body check to show.
Granato has FINALLY had enough with Mr. Lazy Giveaway Skinner and is in the process of Kreugering him. Will be interesting to see if this time the coach wins, or will Skinner kill another one. Either way could be a win for us.
So yay, but it's little more than exhibition hockey at this point.
After every single Sabres game you come here and discount the win by saying the only reason why the Sabres won is because the other team played like garbage. Beyond tiresome.

Wow, missed the game and just read the full game thread:
Summary of periods 1-3: Boring, Sabres suck, fire everybody but the new guy
After the OT: Wow, that was a fun game
Sheesh.
Quite frankly, it’s beyond absurd.

Or just bring in veteran players along with Tkatchuk. You know, the thing Sabres management hasn't understood for 12 years
This is flat out wrong. Do you really want to go through the list of veterans that have brought in over the last 12 years? Craig Rivet? Brian Gianta? Kyle Okposo? Jeff Skinner? Eric Johnson? Eric Staal? Ryan O’Reilly? Marcus Johansson? Taylor Hall? And a whole slew of others I’m not even going to bother to go through.

II I signed up to play in a women's league (hey it's 2024, why not!), do I have a right to get upset when they chirp me and tell me I don't belong out there? I would be shocked if they didn't tho haha. But what if I really like women's hockey and want to play at that level? Isn't "hockey for everyone"?
This is not as clever as you think it is.

This team sucks.
It was a pretty good game,… pretty entertaining at times, but Jebus f'n crispy do they play some stupid hockey at times.
In what world of hockey, at any level, is it taught that the right play is to pass up a shot and make a pass through the center of the ice with seven guys in the way of that pass. WTF!
It was a good effort. They just aren't any good. I'm sick of Dahlin acting like he is better than he is, as well. Dude, you've made more money in the past two months than I will in my lifetime, Time to ***** earn it you dandy.
Are you specifically talking about the scoring chances he had?

This comment really showed your class.
So you post garbage. Solicit opinions about that said garbage. Get told your opinion is garbage. And then make a report that someone’s calling your opinion garbage. 🙄
And this was the nicest thing I could say about the situation.

I could be wrong, but I think at least part of the discussion is today’s result - as far as it pertains to predictiveness going forward -. What I’m taking is merely a stance against moral victories. They way we lost doesn’t matter. It’s not reflective because it’s not unusual for bad teams to play like this on the level of occasion we do
I am part of the some people who are talking about today’s game and not about the season. so, like I said… Some people.

It’s not they they didn’t play reasonably, it’s that this is their *best* case result generally, right now. I’ll say it again: in an 82 game season, bad teams win games. They have games where they play well. A lot of them in fact.
This is just the Monty Hall problem. Game show host opens the one door that tricks you into thinking you are in a better position than you are mathematically
You need to make a change
just like Monty hall
Some people are posting about the game. You’re posting about the season. Those are different conversations.

I had the pleasure of listening on the radio as I'm driving up to Watertown, so I didn't get to see how they looked. A loss is a loss at this point. This effort with a loss would probably be better tolerated if they weren't such a wreck as a team.
I guess it just depends on the definition of bad. They lost on a fluke goal bad dominated the vast majority of the game, even killing off a couple of five V3. Is that bad? I guess it’s bad because you’re not winning.
The corollary to that would be Dallas was good because they won. They were not good this game.

I don't know the stats off hand, but they're jsut terrible when they give up the first goal. Even if they play well. I've never seen a team be so freaking bad when down 1 goal.
I guess you can say it’s bad when you don’t score. It’s hard to say they were freaking bad that game IMO.

You are not following along. He is an NHL coach and thus is NHL caliber. KA it follows hires NHL caliber coaches. Just like Terry hires experienced GMs. How long has KA been a GM. He is experienced.
This isn't hard.
How long are you going to try and be funny with this?

Should fire Adams and hire an experienced GM first, and then let the GM hire the coach.
Pegula won't do this though, because he has an aversion to hiring experienced GMs. And he picks the coach himself to ensure the coach reports to him.
How many years will Kevyn need to be GM before he moves from an inexperienced GM to an experienced one?
