Craig Stadler was a hoot. Tom Watson pure class. Greg Norman was the car accident about to happen you couldn't look away from.

This was a huge part of my life as a yout. So many wasted Sundays... Summer watching golf and fall watching the Bills.

I played and could have been pretty good had I applied myself. Shot a 74 once and had an eagle. The story of my life...

How does someone shoot a 74, but hasn’t applied themselves? I don’t see how that’s humanly possible.

Ok why not... Scheffler and Rory Mc

Of people that you may be familiar with over there it’s me, Gugny, Jauronimo, BringBackFregy, Mike in Horseheads, ExiledinIllinois, and GoBills808. Then two of Mike’s family members and two of my family members. I would say almost 50% don’t watch golf at all.

  3. If you want to get into our PGA majors pool, I think it’s early enough we can let you in. You pick two golfers for each of the four majors and you can’t repeat any golfers. Total salary from all eight golfers determined your final score. We have 11 in our group right now. A bunch of us from TBD and two of us have some family members. $25.

If anyone wants to join I would need two golfers ASAP to put you on the spreadsheet.

    Got this resource?

Don Paul mentioned it in the News.

    https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/sector_band.php?sat=G16&sector=ne&band=GEOCOLOR&length=12

Clouds seem to be moving to the east a little faster than thought. Maybe some miracle chance there will be peaks of sun in five hours?

Those faster moving clouds are why we decided to abandon Burlington. We’re doing our best to outrun them. Lol

24 hours ago the forecast was perfectly clear for 90 miles in any direction.

Starting in 1997, the guitar player in my band has not missed an eclipse on the entire planet. He’s in Cabo right now and is getting on a ship to go hundreds of miles out to sea to see it. He goes with a big group and one time the chartered two planes, left from Argentina and flew over the southern ocean along with it to extend their viewing. Pretty cool,… if a little kooky.

While not dedicated to see every one, back in 2017 I suggested to my daughter that we should visit places around the world to see them when they occur. So I am on board.

Hope you are already there. The roads from here are going to be awful.

I am an eclipse veteran. We are staying with a friend from TBD in Salem New York. it’s a 2 hour drive tomorrow.  We will beat the traffic and we know a great place to go and hang out for the day. It’s what we did in South Carolina back in 2017.

Meanwhile, the good people of Buffalo hospitality industry are canceling hotel contracts made two years ago to resell those rooms at 3x+ the rate.

And the roads are perfectly clear right now. Getting there isn’t a problem. Leaving is the issue.

Do they have gates? How were they able to stop traffic in such limited time?

That’s a really good question and I’m not sure of the details. My presumption is that at least one side would have various construction vehicles. Maybe that also included the other side. I really don’t know. I’m pretty sure it’s a toll bridge, so I don’t know if they were able to notify them. If I find out the actual answer, I’ll report back.

I hadn’t heard the detail re: construction workers.  Awful.

There was less than 100 seconds warning time. There was no way to get a vehicle to the middle and back, nor was there time to walk/run/sprint.

I don’t need any knowledge surrounding Quinn’s injury to understand that him playing in meaningless games immediately after two consecutive leg issues might not be warranted.

I’m sure they are just looking out for their fans here, giving them some juice for the final twirl around the toilet bowl.

I guess if he’s good to go, let’s throw him out there so fans can cling to what might be, until it isn’t…

“I don’t need information to make a decision” doesn’t sound all that compelling to be honest.
