In the 2nd period, they have looked better the last 3-4 minutes. But before that, they LOOKED like they were trying/putting the effort in, just they weren't coming away cleanly with any pucks out of battles.

We are sleep walking through this game. Any time this team can put together a respectable winning streak and gain some ground in the standings we completely lay an egg.
