Will Connolly Play this Year?

  1. 1. What's gonna happen?

    • The whole thing is pie in the sky -- he starts having headaches again and doesn't play at all this year.

    • A little more than #1 -- he plays a little amid conflicting reports about how healthy he really is but is ineffective.

    • Good but not great comeback -- he gradually ramps up to playing a full shift by the end of the season and the playoffs and is solid but not a real difference-maker.

    • Legendary comeback -- he scores or sets up a goal in his 1st shift back, hits the ice flying and never looks back, the playoffs are an extended highlight reel, and he leads us to the promised land and wins the Conn Smythe in the process

OK, since no one has any information beyond what's been published, this is just take-a-guess time. How optimistic are you? Have wide right, home run throwback, no goal, and last year's bizarre string of injuries made you doubt our chances of ever winning it all? Or does every dog have its day? Do you believe?

 

What's gonna happen with Connolly?

You should have added a choice for "comes back, starts playing well then someone like Tucker goes headhunting and knocks him out again." What a nightmare that would be - there might be mass suicides among Sabres fans...

Very possible, but at odds with the good karma I'm hoping to create here. So far, with 2 pessimistic choices and 2 optimists, the optimists are handily carrying the day.
