If the Sabres ran some team's star player, I would expect the same response in return. No matter what anyone thinks, I always hated seeing any player, even Darcy Tucker, get taken out by a cheat shot. blugold43 Posted December 4, 2006 Report Share Posted December 4, 2006 i think they need to play it cool early, and then after his guard is down, someone needs to ROCK his ass once. then let that be the end of it. then let the caps retaliate and get tossed. i agree that this team can let itself get bullied around sometimes, and this is something that needs to happen to keep people honest. i'm glad my one live game this year will at least have a little bit of a subplot! although it is true that these things are usually non-stories when all is said and done. I'm sure they will hit him a few times but not go after him all game. The Sabres might respond to Ovechkin's hit by coming out with a blowout win on December 26.
