This Day in Sabres History :: May 17

Recommended Posts

The Sabres are in Philadelphia awaiting Game 2 of the finals the next day. Down one game to nothing, they are huddled in their hotel trying to find a way to beat Bernie Parent. Rene Robert suggests the old "pull my finger" trick. That's about the best idea they come up with.

No one is reading this, I get the feeling. I can say anything I want. No one will ever see it. Jason Pominville is hot! Want to touch the heiny. Oh my, this is liberating.

Uh-oh. People are reading this!

Yeah, like you guys wouldn't have "rewarded" Jason after that goal!

I have been reading these, but after this comment, maybe I'll stop.

Oh who am I kidding. I wish I could quit This Day in Sabres History! I can't wait for May 18th to see how we should "reward" Ryan Miller!

PA - I suspect that by later in the week you'll be reminding us that Rene Robert was one of the few who figured out how to beat Bernie during that series. Maybe the weather helped? Maybe we'll even learn how Jim Lorentz subbenly became Batman!

These posts bring back a ton of memories. Unfortunately bebinning a few moments ago they won't ALWAYS be fond!
